    Abstract: Apparatus and method for modifying future workflows based on information received at current day. The method includes receiving, at an electronic processor, information corresponding to an object of interest and analyzing, using the electronic processor, the information to identify one or more attributes corresponding to the object of interest affecting an incident workflow for the object of interest. The method also includes generating, using the electronic processor, a modified incident workflow for the object of interest based on the incident workflow and the one or more attributes and storing, in a database, the modified incident workflow and a trigger condition corresponding to the modified incident workflow such that the modified incident workflow and the trigger condition are related to the object of interest in the database. The trigger condition is generated based on the one or more attributes.

    Abstract: A method and device for improved audio intelligibility in a converged land mobile radio (LMR)/broadband (BB) communications system is provided. A converged portable radio operating as part of a talkgroup in the LMR/BB system checks for predetermined triggers during standby that could cause receive radios of the talkgroup to receive degraded audio. If such a trigger is detected then the converged portable radio switches from the LMR system to the BB system and transmits a notification including a change system message to the other converged portable radios of the talkgroup. The notification is transmitted prior to any push-to-talk audio being transmitted from the originating radio. The converged portable radio can transmit, via a push-to-talk switch, narrowband (NB) audio and wideband (WB) audio in parallel over the BB system to the talkgroup subsequent to the detection of triggers and the sending of the notification.

    Abstract: Dangerous road events and conditions may be detected and responded to. A first report is received including a first location of a first vehicle and a first acceleration associated with the first vehicle beyond a threshold amount. A second report is received including a second location of a second vehicle and a second acceleration associated with the second vehicle beyond the threshold amount. In response to determining that the first and second reports meet a maximum relative time constraint and a maximum relative location constraint: (i) transmitting a notification to a dispatch console indicative of a potential dangerous road event near the first and second locations, (ii) transmitting a dispatch request to a response vehicle to respond to the potential dangerous road event near the first and second locations, or (iii) storing an indication of the potential dangerous road event.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for intelligent interference mitigation for time division multiplexing broadband networks. One example embodiments of a wireless base station includes an electronic processor and a transceiver coupled to the electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to operate to communicate wirelessly via the transceiver with subscriber units utilizing time division duplexing (TDD) and a first frame configuration, and characterize each of a plurality of sub-frames of the first frame configuration as being either conflicting or non-conflicting. The electronic processor is configured to estimate link conditions for the subscriber units and determine, based on the link conditions, whether the subscriber units are resilient or non-resilient. The electronic processor is configured to assign resilient subscriber units to conflicting sub-frames and non-resilient subscriber units to non-conflicting sub-frames.

    Abstract: A device, method and system for estimating elevation in images from camera devices is provided. The device detects humans at respective positions in images from a camera device, the camera device having a fixed orientation and fixed focal length. The device estimates, for the humans in the images, respective elevations of the humans, relative to the camera device, at the respective positions based at least on camera device parameters defining the fixed orientation and the fixed focal length. The device associates the respective elevations with the respective positions in the images. The device determines, using the respective elevations associated with the respective positions, a function that estimates elevation in an image from the camera device, using a respective image position coordinate as an input. The device provides the function to a video analytics engine to determine relative real-world positions in subsequent images from the camera device.

A device determines a call security level of a call occurring at a first communication infrastructure; the first communication infrastructure associated with a first security level; the call security level determined from one or more of; a profile of a caller on the call; and audio on the call. In response to determining that the call security level and the first security level are misaligned, the device causes the call to change to a second communication infrastructure associated with a second security level aligned with the call security level.
