摘要: A speech synthesizing apparatus acquires a synthesis unit speech segment divided as a speech synthesis unit, and acquires partial speech segments by dividing the synthesis unit speech segment with a phoneme boundary. The power value required for each partial speech segment is estimated on the basis of a target power value in reproduction. An amplitude magnification is acquired from the ratio of the estimated power value to the reference power value for each of the partial speech segments. Synthesized speech is generated by changing the amplitude of each partial speech segment of the synthesis unit speech segment on the basis of the acquired amplitude magnification.

摘要: Detecting an unknown word in input speech data reduces the search space and the memory capacity for the unknown word. For this purpose, an HMM data memory stores data describing a state transition mode for the unknown word, defined by a number of states and the transition probability between the states. An output probability calculation unit acquires a state of the maximum likelihood at each time of the speech data, among the plural states employed in the state transition mode for a known word, employed in the speech recognition of the known word. The obtained result is applied to the state transition mode for the unknown word, stored in the HMM data memory, to obtain a state transition mode of the unknown word. A different output probability calculation unit determines the likelihood of the state transition mode for the known word. Then a language search unit effects the language search process, utilizing the likelihoods determined by the aforementioned two output probability calculation units, in a portion where the presence of the unknown word is permitted by the dictionary.

摘要: A printer for intermittely feeding printing sheets to which a photoconductive microcapsule is applied in a sheet feeding direction and printing images on the printing sheets, includes a frame, an exposure head which is supported by the frame and irradiates light to the sheets to form a latent image thereon; and a pressing and developing head which is supported by the frame so as to reciprocate in a scanning direction intersecting the sheet feeding direction on the downstream side of the exposure head with respect to the sheet feeding direction and applies pressure to the latent image forming part of the sheet in cooperation with a sheet supporting means disposed on the rear surface side of the sheet to develop a latent image. The pressing and developing head is supported by a support base supported on the frame main body and extending in the scanning direction of the sheet independently of the exposure head so as to apply a pressing and developing force to the sheet and can reciprocate in the scanning direction on the support base.

摘要: With respect to pattern recognition or the like, this invention is aimed at reducing the arithmetic processing steps of determining analogy between an inputted pattern and reference patterns in order to enhance the speed of the recognition process. At first, a quantization code book is designed to prepare a single-output table and a mixture-output table. Then, referring to these tables, single-output data and mixture-output data are worked out from an inputted pattern. In accordance with these data thus worked out, the adaptability between the inputted pattern and reference patterns is calculated in order to obtain the analogy between them.

摘要: The probe apparatus for a semiconductor wafer has a work table on which a wafer is placed. A printed wiring board having a high rigidity is situated above the work table. A support block is mounted on the printed wiring board so as to pierce through its opening. The support block has a recess which opposes to the work table, and a flexible membrane-like probe card is detachably mounted on the support block so as to cover the recess. The probe card has a main region in which contact elements to be brought into contact with electrode pads of the semiconductor wafer are arranged. A rigid rectangular frame is attached to the rear surface of the probe card so as to surround the main region, thus imparting a flatness to the probe card. A pusher is provided in the recess of the support block so as to be brought into contact with the rear side of the main region of the probe card. The pusher is swingably arranged on the lower end of the shaft vertically supported. The shaft is supported by the support block via two belleville springs.
