Abstract:
A device, method and system for measuring one or more ultrasound parameters of a suspension comprising particles dispersed in a liquid carrier comprising, an immersible devices, comprising, one or more ultrasonic probes; a reflector having staggered reflective; a housing having an opening into the housing to allow the suspension to flow into the space between the probe surface and the reflective surface; an ultrasound wave generator/receiver device; and a signal processing device.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for dynamically sizing, structuring and operating advertisements that include a variety of content, including interaction prompts and other elements, which enable an engagement-based revenue generation model. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method comprises storing advertising content, serving an XML file from an advertising server to an advertisement manager in order to control a player on a user computer, dynamically generating the advertisement through the player based on directions from the advertisement manager and the stored content, and tracking and reporting a user's engagement with the advertisement in order to determine compensation for the publisher.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a monitoring system implementing a network including at least one source of dynamic data, the source being in communication with a machine, a monitoring module configured for communication with the source, receiving the dynamic data, and converting the dynamic data to output data for transmittal over the network, a computing resource configured for communication with the network and receiving the output data, a rule implementer in the monitoring module, the rule implementer implementing at least one system rule that is applicable to the output data to determine optimal setpoints for at least one machine variable, and a controller configured for communication with the monitoring module and the network and receiving the output data to which the at least one system rule has been applied, the controller being configured to control the at least one machine variable according to the optimal setpoints.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fishing hook holder (10). The fishing hook holder (10) comprises a holder part (12) for receiving a hook. The holder past (12) is arranged so that a hook can at least partially straddle it. The fishing hook holder (10) can be stored in a receptacle (30). The fishing hook holder (10) can be either removable from the receptacle (30) or fixed thereto. The fishing hook holder (10) and the receptacle (30) can both float.
Abstract:
A device for securing a baby bottle, toy, pacifier, baby utensil or similar accessory to a stroller, high-chair, car seat, infant's wrist or any item of the like. The device, which is in a general elongated figure “8” shape has both ends secured with a button, snap, Velcro, suction cups or similar means to allow for proper securing to prevent items from falling to the ground.
Abstract:
An ultrasound test apparatus for polymeric materials (e.g., plastic pipes) includes a low-absorption housing that at least partially encloses an ultrasound transducer, wherein the transducer emits a low frequency wide angle ultrasound beam with a narrow bandwidth. In especially preferred configurations and methods, the apparatus will detect flaws in polymeric pipes, and especially in welds or stressed zones of such pipes, wherein defects of less than 4% of the wall thickness (up to 4 inches) are detected. Further disclosed are configurations and methods for nondestructive detection of lack-of-fusion defects in polymeric pipes.
Abstract:
A system of delivering a closely controlled volume of a solution carrying a bioactive agent and depositing the solution on a surface of a medical/dental implant in preparation for placing the implant in a patient. The system includes one or more dispensers (cylinders) each terminating in a nozzle, and a plunger (piston) for each dispenser. Each dispenser is filled with the desired volume of solution by common movement of the plungers in an upward direction while the dispenser nozzles are connected to an adapter unit having a single nozzle immersed in the solution. The dispenser nozzles are then removed from the adapter and placed in mating hubs on a domed lid portion of a dosing chamber.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for rapidly capturing images in an automated identification system to effectively extend one dimension of a field of view of an image system are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the image system captures and processes multiple images of at least a portion of a surface of a component in the automated identification system in response to a trigger signal communicated from a triggering device configured to sense a location of the component. Various embodiments of the invention include multiple sources for capturing images, and/or multiple user-specified schemas for effectively extending the field of view of the image system along the axis of component travel in the automated identification system.
Abstract:
A system is disclosed that provides a goal based learning system utilizing a rule based expert training system to provide a cognitive educational experience. The system provides the user with a simulated environment that presents a business opportunity to understand and solve optimally. Mistakes are noted and remedial educational material presented dynamically to build the necessary skills that a user requires for success in the business endeavor. The system utilizes an artificial intelligence engine driving individualized and dynamic feedback with synchronized video and graphics used to simulate real-world environment and interactions. Multiple “correct” answers are integrated into the learning system to allow individualized learning experiences in which navigation through the system is at a pace controlled by the learner. A robust business model provides support for realistic activities and allows a user to experience real world consequences for their actions and decisions and entails realtime decision-making and synthesis of the educational material. The system is architected around a table of components to manage and control the system.
