Abstract:
A method and apparatus for selecting and allocating antennas efficiently are provided. The method includes transmitting, to a User Equipment (UE), information indicating a configuration of a plurality of Channel Status Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) through UE specific signaling during an initial access attempt with the UE; receiving, from the UE, CSI-RS measurement results indicating configured CSI-RSs; transmitting CSI-RSs corresponding to a set of available distributed ports (D-ports) based on received signal strength information included in results of the CSI-RS measurement; and determining a CSI-RS of a selected D-port set for use in communications based on feedback information received from the UE.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for simultaneously communicating on at least two carrier frequencies, of which at least one carrier frequency is a licensed band and at least one carrier frequency is an unlicensed band are provided. The method includes broadcasting an operating status of the unlicensed band to a receiver device; collecting feedback data regarding channel conditions from the receiver device for both the licensed band and unlicensed band; determining, when a bandwidth request is received from the receiver device, whether to use the unlicensed band based on the channel conditions; transmitting an unlicensed band scheduling indication to the receiver device; and communicating with the receiver device using both the licensed band and the unlicensed band according to the transmitted unlicensed band scheduling indication.

Abstract:
Coating compositions are disclosed that include an alkoxide of the general formula RxM(OR′)z-x where R is an organic radical, M is silicon, aluminum, titanium, and/or zirconium, each R′ is independently an alkyl radical, z is the valence of M, and x is a number less than z and may be zero. The coating composition is cationically curable. Also disclosed are articles at least partially coated with a hard coat deposited from such a coating composition, methods for depositing a hard coat on at least a portion of a plastic substrate, and methods for improving the adhesion and abrasion resistance of a substrate.
Abstract:
Liquid compositions are disclosed that include a photocatalytic material and a hydrophilic binder that includes an essentially completely hydrolyzed organosilicate. Also disclosed are methods of making such compositions, methods of coating a substrate with a hydrophilic composition, and substrates coated with such compositions. The compositions may, for example, be embodied as stable one-pack compositions.
Abstract:
A method is provided for determining reference signal positions in a frequency-time domain in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system. A plurality of sub-carriers are selected in one resource block according to a predetermined mother pattern for reference signal allocation. When a single resource block is assigned for transmission to a user, the reference signal positions are determined corresponding to the plurality of selected sub-carriers in the single resource block. When multiple resource blocks are assigned for transmission to a user, the reference signal positions are determined in the multiple resource blocks by reducing a number of the plurality of selected sub-carriers in the mother pattern for at least one of the multiple resource blocks.
Abstract:
An apparatus for demodulating a digital video signal applied to a receiving end of an Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communication system is provided. The apparatus receives a plurality of OFDM symbols, and stores a plurality of data sequences in an external memory. The apparatus includes a de-interleaver, that de-interleaves the data sequences to generate a plurality of de-interleaved data sequences; a decoder, coupled to the de-interleaver, that generates a plurality of data streams according to the de-interleaved data sequences; a reconstruction apparatus, coupled to the decoder, that reconstructs the data streams into a transport stream; and a memory interface unit, coupled to the external memory, that accesses the data sequences and the data streams from the external memory. The external memory includes a de-interleaving buffer that stores the data sequence, and a data reconstructing buffer that stores the data streams.
Abstract:
An electronic element testing and supporting apparatus includes a circuit board, an outer frame, an inner frame, a plate and two locking devices. The outer frame is assembled on a second surface of the circuit board and has a plurality of outer frame. Two opposing outer frame rims are provided respectively with a slot having an accommodating opening and an accommodating hole. The inner frame is lodged in the outer frame. The plate is inserted into the slots via the accommodating openings of the two opposing outer frame rims. The locking device includes an elastic element disposed in the accommodating hole of the outer frame rim and a stopper. The elastic element abuts against the stopper, so that the stopper can be movably extended into the corresponding slot to stop the plate. Via this arrangement, the present invention avoids using screws to lock the plate and the inner frame.
