    摘要: The present invention provides a display device which is capable of fetching input signals of a small amplitude into the inside thereof. A level converting circuit includes a first-conductive-type first transistor having a gate electrode to which input signals are applied through a first capacitive element, a second-conductive-type second transistor having a gate electrode to which input signals are applied through a second capacitive element, a first bias circuit which applies a first bias voltage to the gate electrode of the first transistor and a second bias circuit which applies a second bias voltage to the gate electrode of the second transistor. Here, the first bias voltage is a voltage which turns off the first transistor when a voltage applied to the gate electrode of the first transistor assumes a maximum value and the second bias voltage is a voltage which turns off the second transistor when a voltage applied to the gate electrode of the second transistor assumes a minimum value.

    摘要: A display devices which exhibits improved image qualities has a pair of substrates which sandwich a liquid crystal layer there between. On one of the substrates there are a plurality of video signal lines, a plurality of pixel electrodes which are arranged in a matrix array and to which video signals are supplied from the video signal lines, and a plurality of conductive layers, which are provided at positions where portions thereof overlap with the video signal lines by way of an insulation film. The respective conductive layers are electrically connected to respective video signal lines. Further, the conductive layer is able to prevent light irradiated from a backlight from leaking through a gap defined between two neighboring pixel electrodes.

To each liquid-crystal-side pixel region of one substrate out of respective substrates which are arranged while sandwiching liquid crystal therebetween, a first switching element and a second switching element which are operated in response to a scanning signal from a gate signal line, a pixel electrode to which a video signal is supplied from the drain signal line through the first switching element, and a counter electrode to which a reference voltage signal is supplied from a reference voltage signal line through the second switching element, and the pixel electrode and the counter electrode are respectively formed of strip-like transparent conductive layers and are substantially alternately arranged in the inside of the pixel region.

The display device includes a first display panel, a second display panel, and a first flexible printed circuit board which connects the first display panel and the second display panel.     摘要: An image display apparatus having a display unit composed of a plurality of pixels and a control unit for controlling the display unit. The image display apparatus further includes a DA converter for converting digital display data into an analog image signal, wherein the DA converter is composed of a first DA converter and a second DA converter, the power consumption when the first DA converter is operated being smaller than that when the second DA converter is operated. Either of the first DA converter or the second DA converter are operated according to an instruction from the control unit, and the converted analog image signal is outputted to the display unit. The display unit changes the number of the independent display pixels of said display unit according to the instruction from the control unit and displays an image according to the analog image signal.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes plural video signal input parts which supply pixel drive voltages to the respective video signal lines of a liquid crystal display device, and each of the video signal input parts includes a field-effect transistor, a first part which sets a voltage value of a control electrode of the field-effect transistor to a voltage value obtained by correcting a common pixel drive voltage by a threshold voltage of the field-effect transistor, a second part which sets the voltage value of the control electrode of the field-effect transistor to a voltage obtained by adding a video signal voltage to the voltage value corrected by the first part, and a third part which supplies a voltage obtained by adding the video signal voltage to the common pixel drive voltage, to the video signal line as well as to the field-effect transistor, the voltage value of whose control electrode is set by the second part to the voltage obtained by adding the video signal voltage to the voltage value corrected by the first part. This construction prevents the difference in offset level from occurring in the pixel drive voltage to be supplied to the respective video signal lines, owing to a shift of the threshold value of the field-effect transistor.
