    摘要: A facsimile communication system and a communication apparatus reduce a loss time due to the synchronization of transmission/reception and shorten a communication time. They also shorten a communication time in a full duplex communication mode and allow proper switching of the full duplex communication at the transmission/reception replacement. DIS-CFR signals, EOP-DCN signals, NSS-TSI signals and TSI-DCS signals of a facsimile communication protocol are connected by synchronization signals so that the synchronization signals are sent even after the sending of the protocol signal. Thus, the sending of the synchronization signal for one second when the next protocol signal is sent is not necessary and a time required for the protocol signal is shortened. An ANSam signal to disable a function of an echo suppressor is sent when a call is detected and a calling station thereafter sends a protocol signal and an image signal in a manner not to cause signal interruption of 50 ms or longer, and at transmission/reception replacement at the end of the image signal from the calling station, a called station sends an ANSam signal and sends a protocol signal.

    摘要: A superconducting film including 0.1-5% by weight of magnesium oxide wherein the superconducting film has a thickness in a range from 300 to 1000 .mu.m. A superconducting device for magnetic shielding comprises: a substrate; and a superconducting layer supported by the substrate, the superconducting layer including grains of a Bi-type superconducting oxide so that the superconducting layer has a critical temperature higher than -196.degree. C., the superconducting layer having a thickness in a range from 300 to 1,000 .mu.m, the superconducting layer including 0.1-5% by weight of magnesium oxide, where the superconducting device has a laminated structure including the substrate and the superconducting layer. A process for producing a superconducting film comprises the steps of: firing a mixture of calcined powders of a superconducting oxide and 0.1-5% by weight of magnesium oxide powders at a temperature at which the superconducting oxide is partially melted.

    摘要: In the manufacture of a laminated piezoelectric/electrostrictive element by lamination of a piezoelectric/electrostrictive film and an electrode film containing either platinum or an alloy composed mainly of platinum and having a thickness of 2.0 μm or less, both or either one of yttrium oxide (Y2O3) and cerium oxide (CeO2) is added to the electrode film or the piezoelectric/electrostrictive film, and the electrode film and the piezoelectric/electrostrictive film are fired simultaneously. This simultaneously achieves a reduced thickness and improved thermal resistance of the electrode film and a reduced change in piezoelectric/electrostrictive properties with time, thereby producing a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element with good initial piezoelectric/electrostrictive properties and with a small change in the piezoelectric/electrostrictive properties with time.
