摘要: A controller driver for a fluorescent display unit for use in a display system is connected to a host micom which controls operations of the display system and to a display unit. The controller driver comprises an interface, a decoder, a display RAM, an electrode driver, a controller and a clock generator. The interface transfers data from/to the host micom. The decoder identifies and divides the data received from the interface into command data and display data. The display data includes anode data and grid data and the electrode driver includes therein an anode driver and a grid driver. The display RAM stores the display data received from the decoder. The electrode driver actuates the display unit by using the command data and the display data. The controller sets a driving mode and a display mode by using the command data, retrieves the display data and provides the display data to the electrode driver. The clock generator provides timing signals for the interface, the decoder, the anode driver, the grid driver, the display RAM and the controller to coordinate operation timings thereof. The anode data and the grid data are provided to the anode driver and the grid driver, respectively, according to a predetermined timing address.

摘要: There is provided an image processing method and apparatus in which an image represented by output image data can be corrected in a simple manner. After execution of pre-scan has been completed, in a set-up portion, a normal-processing parameter and a correction-processing parameter are set for each of a plurality of image processing. When an image displayed on a monitor after image processing based on a normal-processing parameter is visually observed by an operator and it is determined that correction of the image is required, at least one image processing parameter is switched to a correction-processing parameter. That is, when it is determined that correction of an image is required, a previously set correction-processing parameter is read and the normal-processing parameter is switched thereto.

摘要: An image processing device corrects for color imbalances in an image caused by a bias in the light source at the time the image is recorded and/or a bias that exists due to the characteristics of the underlying image recording medium. The device employs a method in which the following are determined: a color of a highlight portion in an image; a correlation between the color of highlight portion and the color of each element forming the image; and an extent of bias in the color balance of the image caused by the light source. The device also corrects the color balance of the image based on the determinations. In addition, the device may also estimate grey balance of an image based on data from a plurality of images recorded under substantially uniform conditions. The device may correct the color balance based on the estimated grey balance.

摘要: A standard pattern vector of a normal sound, an input pattern vector of a monitored sound, a positive vector of a reference pattern, and a negative vector of the reference pattern are produced. Regarding each element, the positive vector is increased by an absolute value of a difference between the input pattern vector and the standard pattern vector if the input pattern vector is greater than the standard pattern vector, and the negative vector is increased by the absolute value if the input pattern vector is less than the standard pattern vector. A difference of a kurtosis between the positive vector and the negative vector is calculated, wherein a center of the reference shape is relatively moved to a position of each element of the positive and negative vectors respectively at every calculation. A geometric distance value between the standard pattern vector and the input pattern vector is obtained by calculating a square root of a sum of a square of each kurtosis difference.

摘要: A histogram of densities represented by image signal components of an image signal obtained by reading out an image from a photographic film is created. The density at a particular point on the histogram and the dynamic range of the image signal are obtained. It is determined that the photographic film was underexposed when the density of the particular point is smaller than a first predetermined density and at the same time the dynamic range of the image signal is smaller than a predetermined value, and that the photographic film was overexposed when the density of the particular point is larger than a second predetermined density and at the same time the dynamic range of the image signal is smaller than a predetermined value.

摘要: A stepper motor controller that controls acceleration of a stepper motor so that, once the stepper motor is stabilized at 500 pps, acceleration of the motor is increased to 667 pps for four steps, during which time the speed of the stepper motor reaches about 900 pps. Then, acceleration of the stepper motor is increased to 1,000 pps, allowing the motor to increase to that speed without degeneration of the speed. In other words, when the stopper motor nears the maximum possible speed at an acceleration of 667 pps, the next acceleration is applied. In this way, acceleration of the stepper motor can be changed between levels having a great difference in driving frequency without causing the stepper motor to degenerate.

摘要: A thermal transfer printing mechanism for use in a facsimile device includes a separating guide surface that is formed having a curve having a radius of curvature of not more than 1.2 mm. Consequently, the acceleration in a separating direction of an ink film separated from an image receiving sheet by the separating guide surface is increased, and the ink film is smoothly separated from the image receiving sheet. The separating guide surface may be formed as a bent thin plate, an embossed portion, a deformed edge of a supporting member, a plastic attachment, or a plastic tape. The separating guide surface is formed as a curve continuing from a feeding guide surface, and the feeding guide surface bends the sheet and the ink ribbon from a plane connecting a contact line of a thermal head and the ink ribbon and a contact line of the sheet and a sheet guide member provided downstream of the separating guide surface.
