The biphenyl derivatives of this invention possess both β2 adrenergic receptor agonist and muscarinic receptor antagonist activity and therefore, such biphenyl derivatives are useful for treating pulmonary disorders, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a backlight for a liquid crystal display (LCD). The backlight can comprise a back cover including a bottom plate and side covers, a light guide plate disposed on the bottom plate, and cold cathode fluorescence lamps (CCFLs) located on the sides of the light guide plate and enclosed by the side covers. The CCFLs can be disposed on four sides of the light guide plate. The CCFLs can be two lamps in L shape or four lamps in a straight line shape disposed on the sides of the light plate, with high voltage ends of one CCFL adjacent to the low voltage ends of another CCFL, thus allowing the LCD lighter, slimmer and more compact in structure.

    摘要: Embodiments for an apparatus and associated method for reducing the residence time in a gas turbine combustor are disclosed. The embodiments of the present invention comprise a fuel nozzle that extends to a downstream plane of an end cap for a combustion liner where the axial distance of the premixer is reduced, however the swirl for mixing the fuel and air, is increased. As a result, the mixing of the fuel and air is essentially unchanged, thereby allowing higher air pressures and operating temperatures within the premixer without inducing auto-ignition.

    摘要: Optimal selection of an inter mode is provided for video data being encoded to achieve enhanced error resilience when the video data is decoded. End to end distortion cost from encoder to decoder for inter mode selection is determined based on residue energy and quantization error. Using the distortion cost function based on residue energy and quantization error, and an optimal Lagrangian parameter, the optimal inter mode is selected for use during encoding for maximum error resilience. The optimal Lagrangian parameter can be set to be proportional to an error-free Lagrangian parameter with a scale factor determined by packet loss rate.
