    摘要: For preventing an optically coupled solid state relay with normally-open output terminals and normally-closed output terminals from undesirable concurrent on-state, the solid state relay comprises first and second photodiode arrays producing first and second photocurrents in the presence of an optical radiation produced in a light-emitting diode, an enhancement mode transistor coupled to the first photodiode array and controlling the normally-open output terminals, a depletion mode transistor coupled to the second photodiode array an controlling the normally-closed output terminals, and first and second discharging circuits for short circuiting the enhancement mode transistor and the depletion mode transistor in the absence of the optical radiation, respectively, in which the amount of the second photocurrent is larger than that of the first photocurrent and the enhancement mode transistor is larger in the absolute value of a threshold level than the depletion mode transistor, and in which the first discharging circuit extinguishes the residual charges faster than the second discharging circuit.

    摘要: A pump is adapted for discharging a very small quantity of a liquid and has a discharge port opening and shut valve, discharge element and liquid drawing passageway opening and shut valve. The discharge port opening and shut valve includes a rod-shaped element which can advance to and retract away from a discharge port. The tubular discharge element and opening and shut valves mate relatively movably with each other coaxially with the rod-shaped element on the cylindrical surface of the red-shaped element. The advancement of the discharge element discharges the liquid which has been introduced into the liquid drawing passageway and regulated by the opening and shut valves to a predetermined amount.

    摘要: Provided to stabilize generation of address discharge and improve gradation characteristics of display images are the following elements: a plasma display panel; a sustain pulse generating circuit; and a ramp voltage generating circuit including a first ramp voltage generating circuit, a second ramp voltage generating circuit, and a switching circuit. The first ramp voltage generating circuit generates a first ramp voltage gently increasing in an initializing period. The second ramp voltage generating circuit generates a second ramp voltage increasing with a gradient gentler than that of the rising edge of a sustain pulse and steeper than that of the first ramp voltage, at the end of each sustain period. The switching circuit stops the operation of the second ramp voltage generating circuit immediately after the second ramp voltage reaches a predetermined electric potential. In at least one sustain period of one field, no sustain pulse but the second ramp voltage is generated.

    摘要: In a steering apparatus for a vehicle which has a steering mechanism for steering steerable road wheels by means of a steering wheel operated by a driver and an electrically controllable auxiliary steering angle superposition mechanism, and in which a target auxiliary steering angle is set in accordance with a steering wheel angle, and an electric motor of the auxiliary steering angle superposition mechanism is driven and controlled according to the target auxiliary steering angle, the rotation of the electric motor 212 is inhibited without regard to the state of the driving control. A short-circuit relay 13 is provided for short-circuiting opposite terminals of the electric motor 212, and the short-circuit relay 13 is operated so as to short-circuit the opposite terminals of the electric motor 212 through a short-circuit relay driving unit 14 in accordance with the kind of a failure detected by a failure detection unit 18, whereby the rotation of the electric motor 212 is inhibited. In addition, when a power supply to the steering apparatus for a vehicle is interrupted, the short-circuit relay 13 operates, without power supply, to short-circuit the opposite terminals of the electric motor 212.
