Abstract:
A method and apparatus for scheduling uplink (UL) transmission in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a backoff parameter from a network, and determines whether or not to apply the received backoff parameter before transmitting a scheduling request (SR) to the network via a dedicated channel. Whether or not to apply the received backoff parameter is determined according to a prioritized access, and the prioritized access corresponds to one of emergency access, high priority access, control element/information in media access control (MAC), radio link control (RLC) or packet data convergence protocol (PDCP), data radio bearer (DRB) for voice/video service, signaling radio bearer (SRB) 0, SRB 1, SRB 2, multimedia telephony service (MMTEL)-voice, MMTEL-video, and voice over long-term evolution (VoLTE).
Abstract:
Provided are a method by which a terminal processes an emergency call in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus for supporting the same. The method comprises: selecting a cell when a radio link failure (RLF) is generated; transmitting a RRC connection re-establishment request message to the selected cell; stopping an expired timer if a suitable cell or a cell using different radio access technology (RAT) is not selected within a certain time when the RLF is generated in the emergency call process of the terminal and the selected cell is an acceptable cell; and transmitting the RRC connection reestablishment request message.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) determines whether transmission of a first random access (RA) preamble to a first node and transmission of a second RA preamble to a second node overlap each other at a specific time duration. If it is determined that the transmission of the first RA preamble and the transmission of the second RA preamble overlap each other, the UE determines whether both the transmission of the first RA preamble and the transmission of the second RA preamble are available at the specific time duration based on an uplink power. If not available, the UE transmits the first RA preamble only at the specific time duration.
Abstract:
There is provided a method for a method for reporting buffer status. The method may comprise: identifying a change of a radio bearer; and triggering a buffer status report (BSR), if the change of the radio bearer is identified.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for establishing a connection in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) in a connected mode camps on a second cell, transmits a connection request to the second cell, and receives redirection information, which indicates redirection to a first cell or a frequency of the first cell, from the second cell. The UE completes connection with the first cell by transmitting a message.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for reconfiguring a receiver bandwidth by a UE (User Equipment) in the wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving a message related to SCell activation or deactivation command; determining whether the receiver bandwidth can be reconfigured before a specific time of a HARQ feedback transmission for the message; and reconfiguring the receiver bandwidth before the HARQ feedback transmission for the message if the receiver bandwidth can be reconfigured before the specific time.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting data in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) establishes dual connectivity with at least one first cell and at least one second cell, receives an indication which indicates that a data transmission path of a radio bearer is to be configured for the at least one first cell, configures the data transmission path of the radio bearer for the at least one first cell, and transmits data via the data transmission path on the at least one first cell.
Abstract:
A method for running a DRX (Discontinuous Reception) cycle at a user equipment in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes steps of receiving configuration information for a long DRX cycle and a short DRX cycle; receiving at least one data unit including one or more DRX command MAC (medium access control) CEs (control elements) in a predetermined period; and running one of the long DRX cycle and the short DRX cycle according to a total number of DRX command MAC CEs.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of receiving system information in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station, a master system information block indicating that the base station broadcasts both a first set of at least one system information block, and a second set of at least one system information block; and receives the second set of at least one system information block from the base station if the UE is a specific type of UE.
Abstract:
A method of reporting information on a UE state performed by UE in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes: generating information on a UE state; transmitting the information on the UE state to a network; obtaining, from the network, configuration information generated based on the information on the UE state; and operating based on the configuration information. The information on the UE state includes at least one of UE activity specifying a frequency at which a UE communicates with the network, and an activity state of the UE determined based on the UE activity.
