The invention relates to a method for a station (STA) to perform channel access in a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: receiving a beacon frame including a traffic indication map (TIM); a step of checking, if the TIM indicates to the STA that buffered traffic exists, information relating to a PS-poll transmission type; and a step of transmitting a PS-poll frame according to either a first type or second type of transmission indicated by the information relating to the PS-poll frame transmission type. The first type of transmission involves transmitting the PS-poll frame after performing contention, and the second type of transmission involves transmitting the PS-poll frame in the time interval set for the STA.

Disclosed according to one embodiment of the present invention is a method whereby a management device, which enables coexistence of television white space (TVWS) devices in a TVWS, sends a server a request for the selection of a master management device, the method comprising the steps of: determining whether a trigger condition for the process of selecting the master management device is satisfied; judging the management device as a candidate slave management device, and the other management devices as candidate master management devices, provided that the trigger condition is satisfied; and initiating the process for selecting the master management device, wherein the trigger condition may be based on the load balance parameter or geographical coverage parameter of the management device.

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for accessing a channel in a wireless LAN system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for performing channel access by a station (STA) of a wireless communication system comprises: a step of receiving, from an access point (AP), information about the time window which does not allow channel access of a traffic indication map (TIM) mode STA; and a step of performing channel access based on the time window. In the event that the STA is a non-TIM mode STA, the channel access is performed in the time window. In the event that the STA is a TIM mode STA, the channel access is performed in the time interval indicated by the TIM, excluding the time window.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for associating a station (STA) with an access point (AP). The method for associating a first AP with an STA in a wireless LAN includes the steps of: a first AP receiving an association request frame from the STA; the first AP requesting authentication information on the STA from a second AP with which the STA was previously associated; the first AP receiving authentication information on the STA from the second AP, wherein the first and second AP's are linked by a distribution system, the association request frame includes identification information on the second AP, and the authentication information on the STA can include at least one of a paired main key (PMK) and a recertification main session key (rMSK). Accordingly, fast association between the STA and the AP can be achieved by a simplified authentication procedure without repeating a full authentication procedure.

Provided is a method for registering TVWS devices for coexistence of television white space (TVWS) devices in a television white space (TVWS), the method performed a server and comprising receiving a registration request message for registration or update registration of at least one TVWS device from at least one management device; performing the registration or update registration of at least one TVWS device; and in response to the registration request message, transmitting a registration response message to the at least one management device, wherein the registration response message includes at least one of an identifier field of an interface device connected to the at least one TVWS device, a status field indicating a result of the registration or the update registration, and a reason field indicating a reason why the registration or the update registration is failed if the registration or the update registration is failed.

The present invention relates to a method by which a station (STA) which operates in power save mode in a wireless LAN system transmits and receives frames. The method includes the steps of: obtaining a channel access authority on the basis of at least one slot time, wherein each slot time is the unit time when a channel is maintained in an idle state for a channel access by the STA; transmitting a power save (PS) poll frame requesting the transmission of a buffered frame to an access point (AP); and receiving a response frame from the AP in response to the PS poll frame. The length of each slot time is set to be longer than the transmission time of the PS poll frame.

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for accessing a channel in a WLAN system. A method for accessing the channel from a station (STA) in the wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises a step of transmitting a power save-poll (PS-poll) for channel accessing from a listening interval to an access point, wherein the station operates in a non-traffic indication map (TIM) mode which is not limited by a TIM element that is transmitted from the access point, and wherein the time of transmission of the PS-poll is not limited by the TIM element.
