Abstract: For supporting selection/authorization of network slicing, a radio access network (RAN) node in a new radio access technology (RAT), e.g. gNB, receives a service request including slice information from a user equipment (UE), and determines a slice based on the slice information. The RAN node forwards the service request including the slice information to a common control plane function (C-CPF), and then, the C-CPF checks whether the UE is authorized for a specific slice. The RAN node receives a service response including an authorization indication for the specific slice from the C-CPF, and performs a corresponding action for the specific slice.

Abstract: As one aspect of mobility enhancement of 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) long-term evolution (LTE)-wireless local area network (WLAN) aggregation, inter-eNodeB (eNB) handover without WLAN termination (WT) change is considered. A source eNB transmits a handover request message including a WT identifier (ID) and WT XwAP ID to a target eNB. The target eNB transmits a WT addition request message including the WT XwAP ID to a WT, and receives a WT addition request acknowledge message from the WT. The target eNB transmits a handover request acknowledge message indicating that a WT is kept to the source eNB. The source eNB transmits a WT release request message indicating that the WT is kept to the WT. The WT is a logical node that terminates a Xw interface on a WLAN.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for handling evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) radio access bearer (E-RAB) switch failure for dual connectivity in a wireless communication system is provided. A master evolved NodeB (MeNB) in dual connectivity receives an E-RAB modification confirm message including a list of E-RABs failed to be modified from a mobility management entity (MME). The MeNB may keep old general packet ratio service (GPRS) tunneling protocol (GTP) tunnels for the failed E-RABs, and trigger a secondary eNB (SeNB) release procedure or a SeNB modification procedure for releasing the failed E-RABs. Alternatively, the MeNB may trigger an E-RAB release procedure for releasing the failed E-RABs.

For the WT initiated WT modification procedure, the eNB receives a WT Modification Required message from a WT via a Xw interface, and transmits a WT Modification Confirm message to the WT via the Xw interface. The WT is a logical node that terminates the Xw interface.

Abstract: A multi-cell/multicast coordination entity (MCE) determines a cluster to which a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) message. The MCE receives a first session start message, which includes a temporary mobile group identity (TMGI), quality of services (QoS) parameters, and a list of cells, from a V2X application server and determines a cluster, which contains group of cells, to which V2X message is to be broadcast, based on the received TMGI, QoS parameters, and list of cells. Upon determining the cluster, the MCE transmits a second session start message, which includes an indication to notify eNodeB (eNB) to wait for scheduling information, to eNBs corresponding to the determined cluster, and transmits MBMS scheduling information to the eNBs. Further, update of the cluster may be triggered from the V2X application server or from the eNB with limited feedback.
