    摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided for sealing a puncture extending through tissue to a blood vessel. A delivery sheath is introduced-into the puncture, and a sealing compound, e.g., precursor polymers that mix to create a hydrogel, is introduced through the delivery sheath into the puncture. The delivery sheath is then removed, an introducer sheath is advanced through the puncture into the vessel, and instruments are introduced through the introducer sheath into the vessel to perform a medical procedure. After completing the procedure, the introducer sheath is withdrawn. The sealing compound may expand into the puncture and/or tissue recoil of the surrounding tissue may cause the sealing compound to at least partially occlude the puncture to facilitate sealing and/or hemostasis.

Each articulation region comprises a reduced thickness region of the support hoop that prevents kinks from forming in the support hoop when the apparatus is contracted to its delivery state, and curved regions that close the mouth of the sac to prevent material escaping from the sac when the apparatus is collapsed for removal.

The helical mesh has a multiplicity of openings forming a lattice that preferably provides about 60% open space or more. Alternative embodiments of the stent include free ends that preferentially overlap neighboring turns of the coil, and integrally formed barbs that enhance resistance to localized compressive forces. Methods of deploying the helical mesh coil stent also provided.

    摘要: A stent-graft having an exo-skeleton attached to a tubular graft, the tubular graft having a peripheral wall defining a lumen therein extending between first and second ends. The exo-skeleton may assume contracted and enlarged conditions, and includes one or more serpentine elements, each extending both peripherally and axially along at least a portion of the peripheral wall. Coiled-sheet stents are provided on the ends of the tubular graft for anchoring the ends within a body passage. Each serpentine element is a zigzag structure extending peripherally about the peripheral-wall, with a plurality of serpentine elements distributed axially along the peripheral wall. The serpentine elements are individually attached to the peripheral wall and/or connector elements may extend between adjacent serpentine elements. Alternatively, each serpentine element may define a generally sinusoidal shape extending axially along the peripheral wall. The tubular graft may have a bifurcated end from which a tubular graft extension segment may extend and to which a docking limb may be attached. A plurality of serpentine elements may also be attached to the extension segment and the docking limb.
