Abstract:
The present invention is related to detecting location of a navigation device using sensor data analysis, where the sensor is coupled to the navigation device. A hierarchical algorithm is used for making a series of decisions regarding the location of the navigation device, with each decision corresponding to a class among a plurality of classes related to the possible motion modes and/or precise location of the device, including the location of the device with respect to a person's body. By accurately identifying the device location, the hierarchical algorithm facilitates in providing relevant contextual information, thereby enhancing situational awareness.
Abstract:
A method and computer-readable medium for precedence group calling in a dispatch station is provided. The method includes: receiving a precedence order for each of a plurality of group call originators, based upon a group call identifier of each of the plurality of group call originators; receiving a new group call from one of the plurality of group call originators; and automatically switching the dispatch station from a current group call to the new group call, if the group call identifier of the originator of the new group call has a higher precedence than the group call identifier of the originator of the current group call.
Abstract:
Yield excursions in the manufacturing process today require an expensive, long and tedious physical failure analysis process to identify the root cause. Techniques are disclosed herein for efficiently identifying the root-cause of a manufacturing yield excursion by analyzing fail data collected from the production test environment. In particular, statistical hypothesis testing is used in a novel way to analyze logic diagnosis data along with information on physical features in the design layout and reliably identify the cause of the yield excursion.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus of detecting and using motion modes in a mobile device is described. Movement data is collected from an inertial motion unit (IMU) of the mobile device and compared to two or more sets of training data, each set of training data corresponding to a different motion mode. Then, a motion mode is determined to be the current mode of the mobile device on the results of the comparison. The motion mode is used by the mobile device in a variety of applications.

Abstract:
Techniques to achieve greater diagnostic speeds using relatively small fault dictionaries, such as dictionaries that are only slightly larger than so-called NFB dictionaries. This speed-up may be achieved by identifying a set of faults called hyperactive faults, and creating a dictionary for identifying those faults.
