摘要： An inflater and a control unit are integrally formed so that connector cables for electrically connecting the inflater and the control unit can be shortened to the minimum required length. In some cases, the inflater and the control unit are directly connected by soldering their terminals, and a space for disposing the connector cables is not provided in a steering wheel. Thus, the cone depth can be made as small as possible.

摘要： An airbag of an airbag system is formed by sewing an edge of at least one piece of cloth two-dimensionally like a balloon. An airbag installation hole which introduces gas from an inflator into the airbag is off set from a center position of the airbag in back and forth direction of a vehicle to be away from a vehicular occupant. The airbag system is installed in an interior component of a vehicle so that the airbag inflates upwards rather than horizontally. When the airbag is inflated completely, the airbag projects towards the vehicular occupant because the airbag installation hole is formed in the off-centered position. Therefore, it is possible to fill a gap efficiency in front of the vehicular occupant with the inflated airbag and protect the vehicular occupant sufficiently.

摘要： A mold comprising a cavity for defining the shape of a casting and a mold body for forming said cavity, comprising: a mold body formed of an ordinary temperature setting resin or thermosetting resin and casting sand, said mold body having a surface layer portion on the surfaces thereof including depressions, said depressions in the surface layer portion being filled up with at least one porous powdered material selected from the group consisting of hydrous magnesium silicate clay mineral, activated carbon and activated alumina, thereby providing the mold body with smooth surfaces whereby said mold generates less amount of material such as gums which cause defective castings during casting since molten metal is restrained from intruding into the walls of said mold.

摘要： Apparatus for controlling a plurality of power seats in a vehicle includes a plurality of power seats, each having adjusting mechanisms for configuring the power seat in a number of different operational states. Operational state detectors then detect the operational state of each power seat. A switching device is provided for adjusting the adjustment mechanisms of the power seats to a desired operational state. Control apparatus is responsive to signals output from the operation state detection devices and the switching device for controlling the adjustment mechanisms of the power seats. The control apparatus causes each power seat to reach its desired operational state in response to the detected operational state of that seat and other power seats to prevent interference among the plurality of moving power seats.

摘要： An exhaust gas purifier suitable for use in a diesel engine of the type in which the intake air is throttle by a throttle valve provided in an intake passage during engine idling to reduce engine vibration and noise. Unburned combustibles produced by intake air throttling are treated by the exhaust gas purifier having a main passage and a bypass passage in which an oxidation catalyst is received. A bypass control valve, operable in synchronization with the throttle valve, urges the exhaust gas to flow through the bypass passage during engine idling. Preferably, means for preheating the catalyst is provided, which comprises an injector and an igniting glow plug.
