    摘要: A process for the preparation of benzaldehyde dialkyl acetals of the general formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are hydrogen or halogen, straight-chain, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon radicals or alkoxy, acyloxy, aryloxy or aralkoxy, and n is 1 or 2, in which benzyl derivatives of the general formula ##STR2## where R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and n have the abovementioned meanings, R.sup.5 is hydrogen or R.sup.6 --CO--, and R.sup.6 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, are anodically oxidized in the presence of an alcohol of the formula R.sup.1 --OH where R.sup.1 has the abovementioned meaning.

    摘要: A polymer granulate whose particles consist of a core component and a coating component can be prepared by mixing a granular polymer with a pulverulent coating agent. The core component is made of a water-soluble polymer, in particular a polyvinyl alcohol. The coating component is a water-soluble or water-insoluble substance which is applied to the water-moistened particles of the core component. The particles of the polymer granulate have diameters within the range from 0.6 to 6 mm. The granulate has particularly good freeflowing properties; it is especially suitable for preparing adhesives.

    摘要: For the thermoplastic processing of polyvinyl alcohol, the processing temperature must be below the decomposition temperature of the polyvinyl alcohol; this is attained by incorporating plasticizers. For preparing a plasticizer-containing granular polyvinyl alcohol wherein the plasticizer is homogeneously distributed, there is used as starting material a granular polyvinyl alcohol consisting substantially of particles having a definite diameter. The plasticizer is incorporated in the presence of a small amount of water insufficient to dissolve the polyvinyl alcohol, and the temperature is adjusted in a definite manner during the mixing operation. Simultaneous presence of fine particles of a high molecular weight organic compound soluble or dispersible in water is advantageous. The plasticizer-containing granular polyvinyl alcohol is suitable for the manufacture of any shaped articles, especially films and sheets.

    摘要: A process for preparing 2-{1-[2-(4-chlorophenoxy)propoxyimino]-butyl}-3-hydroxy-5-(tetrahydrothiopyran-3-yl)cyclohex-2-enone lithium salt by reacting the corresponding acid 2-{1-[2-(4-chlorophenoxy)-propoxyimino]butyl}-3-hydroxy-5-(tetrahydrothiopyran-3-yl)-cyclohex-2-enone and lithium hydroxide and the isolation of the lithium salt are described. Here, it is advantageous to use a solvent mixture which comprises methanol and at least one aromatic hydrocarbon and to remove at least some of the solvent prior to the isolation. It is particularly preferred to dissolve the acid in an aromatic hydrocarbon, preferably toluene, and to use a methanolic lithium hydroxide solution.The product, which can be obtained in a more efficient manner by this process, furthermore has considerable advantages with respect to formulation.
