Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The UE reports antenna capability information of the UE, the antenna capability information comprising identification information of each of one or more antenna subarrays and polarization information indicating at least one polarization supported by each of the one or more antenna subarrays. The UE further receives an indication to operate each of the one or more antenna subarrays with one or more of the at least one polarization and communicates according to the indication.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to cell recovery techniques. One example method generally includes receiving, on a first cell, an indication that one or more channel measurements are to be reported for a second cell for which beam failure is detected; transmitting a first message triggering reporting of at least one preferred beam for communicating on the second cell, the first cell being different from the second cell, wherein the first message is transmitted in response to the indication that the one or more channel measurements are to be reported; receiving a report indicating the at least one preferred beam; and configuring a transmission configuration state in accordance with the at least one preferred beam for communicating on the second cell.

Abstract: In multi-beam communication, the UE may assist in the scheduling of beams utilized during the multi-beam communication by improving the manner in which the quality of the beam is reported to the network. The apparatus may measure a signal received from a base station on at least one beam. The apparatus may detect a triggering event for providing CSI for the at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an uplink transmission comprising a CSI report in response to detecting the triggering event. The apparatus may receive an uplink request from a UE for providing CSI for at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an indication scheduling a CSI report in response to the uplink request. The apparatus may receive an uplink transmission from the UE comprising the CSI report for the at least one beam.

Abstract: In order to overcome problems that a UE may face in determining a default beam for communication with the base station during a COT, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are provided for a base station to indicate to the UE which CORESET(s), QCL assumptions, UL resources, and/or spatial relationships are selected for a COT. A UE receives, from a base station, an indication corresponding to a COT. The indication is for at least one of a set of CORESETs, a set of QCL assumptions, a set of UL resources, or a set of spatial relations for determining a default beam. The UE determines the default beam from the base station for use during the COT based on the indication. The UE transmits or receives a transmission using the default beam.
