    摘要: Provided is a Forward Error Correction (FEC) encoding method of a variable-length packet using a three-dimensional (3D) storage apparatus. In the FEC encoding method, an FEC coding may be performed to calculate a corresponding parity packet while an input data packet is imaginarily connected to the 3D storage apparatus having a predetermined storage width and data area height to be arranged, the calculated parity packet may be stored and arranged in a vertical direction and a depth direction of the 3D storage apparatus, and an expansion data packet including both information for restoration of a data packet and the data packet may be transmitted together with the parity packet.

    摘要: Provided is a method and apparatus for controlling a bit-rates in which an amount of generated bits is adjusted according to the complexity of each frame, and a bit-rate within a frame can be further effectively adjusted by applying different quantization parameter (QP) values to respective macro blocks. In the apparatus for controlling a bit-rate, a motion compensated temporal filtering (MCTP) operation is performed for each group of pictures (GOP) in an input scalable layer, and thereafter bits are allocated to respective frames in consideration of frame type and frame complexity. Furthermore, a QP is adaptively determined in the unit of a macro block on the basis of the allocated bits.

    摘要: The present invention particularly relates to a digital content providing service method and a content execution device for the same, for maximizing user convenience and maintaining a sufficient level of security using a smart card. The inventive content execution device includes an independent authentication unit for storing a tool necessary for executing content; an authentication support module for providing a data communication channel between the smart card and an external broadcasting server; a tool agent for calling the tool stored in the independent authentication unit; and a content execution unit for executing content data received from the external broadcasting server. The content execution device included in a content authority management system of the present invention employs the smart card for user authentication and/or content playing tool management. Accordingly, a user can freely executing his/her licensed content in different content execution devices by conveniently removing and reinserting the smart card, without separate measures. Moreover, according to the present invention, a user can effectively use content from different broadcasters.
