摘要: Evaluation of an amount of immobilized sample in a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) immunoassay is provided. To immobilize the sample, a sensor unit has a sensing surface. The sensor unit includes a transparent dielectric medium, and a metal film having the sensing surface. The metal film is connected with the dielectric medium for constituting a metal/dielectric interface. The sensing surface is adapted to sensing reaction of the sample. Then illuminating light reflected by the metal/dielectric interface is received with a photo detector such as a CCD upon applying the illuminating light to the metal/dielectric interface, to detect attenuation of the illuminating light and output a detection signal thereof. The evaluated amount of the sample immobilized on the sensing surface is evaluated according to the detection signal. Before immobilization, the sensor unit is tested for the photo detector to output an initial detection signal, which is considered for the evaluation.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for detecting fluorescence to distinguish between a sub mucosa and a mucosa immediately and easily. The sub mucosa of organic tissue is distinguished from and the mucosa thereof based on autofluorescence emitted from the organic tissue in response to stimulating light projected thereon. The distinction between the sub mucosa and the mucosa is made based on normalized intensity of the autofluorescence emitted from the organic tissue utilizing the fact that the spectrum of autofluorescence emitted from the sub mucosa is different from the spectrum of autofluorescence emitted from the mucosa.

摘要: An excitation light irradiating device irradiates excitation light to a measuring site. A fluorescence imaging device performs an imaging operation for detecting a fluorescence image formed with fluorescence, which has been produced from the measuring site when the excitation light is irradiated to the measuring site. An illumination device irradiates illumination light to the measuring site. An ordinary imaging device performs an imaging operation for detecting an ordinary image formed with reflected light of the illumination light. A controller controls such that the imaging operation for detecting the fluorescence image and the imaging operation for detecting the ordinary image are performed alternately, and such that an operation for throwing off accumulated electric charges is performed before the imaging operation of the fluorescence imaging device is performed and/or before the imaging operation of the ordinary imaging device is performed.

摘要: A complementary color filter transmits only fluorescence components of fluorescence having been produced from a measuring site exposed to excitation light, which fluorescence components have wavelengths falling within a wavelength region acting as a complementary color with respect to a desired wavelength region. A complementary color signal intensity detector detects a signal intensity of the fluorescence components having passed through the complementary color filter. An entire signal intensity detector detects a signal intensity of fluorescence components, which have wavelengths falling within an entire measurement wavelength region. A signal intensity of fluorescence components, which have wavelengths falling within the desired wavelength region, is calculated from the signal intensities detected by the complementary color signal intensity detector and the entire signal intensity detector. Image information in accordance with the thus calculated signal intensity is displayed.

摘要: Excitation light and reference light are irradiated to living body tissues, the excitation light causing the living body tissues to produce intrinsic fluorescence. The intrinsic fluorescence, which has been produced from the living body tissues when the excitation light is irradiated to the living body tissues, is detected as an intrinsic fluorescence image signal. Reflected reference light, which has been reflected from the living body tissues when the reference light is irradiated to the living body tissues, is detected as a reference light image signal. Display signals are formed from the intrinsic fluorescence image signal and the reference light image signal. Information concerning the living body tissues is displayed by utilizing the formed display signals. The display signals are formed such that an intensity of the reflected reference light is primarily reflected upon luminance, and a relative intensity of the intrinsic fluorescence is primarily reflected upon color.

摘要: A fluorescence detecting system detects auto fluorescence emitted from an intrinsic pigment in a part of an organism. An excitation light projector intermittently projects onto the part excitation light in the wavelength range which can excite the intrinsic pigment of the organism to emit auto fluorescence. A fluorescence detector extracts an auto fluorescence component in a desired wavelength range from auto fluorescence emitted from the pigment. A net auto fluorescence component in the desired wavelength range is obtained by subtracting a base line component in the desired wavelength range the fluorescence detector detects when the part of the organism is not exposed to the excitation light from a gross auto fluorescence component in the desired wavelength range the fluorescence detector detects when the part of the organism is exposed to the excitation light. A divider carries out a division between a first part of the net auto fluorescence component in the desired wavelength range and a second part of the same.

摘要: A fluorescence detecting system detects auto fluorescence emitted from an intrinsic pigment in a part of an organism to be observed. An excitation light source projects onto the part to be observed excitation light in the wavelength range which can excite the intrinsic pigment of the organism to emit auto fluorescence. A first fluorescence detector extracts from the auto fluorescence emitted from the pigment a whole auto fluorescence component in a visible region having a predetermined wavelength range including a first relatively short wavelength range and a relatively long wavelength range. A second fluorescence detector extracts an auto fluorescence component in a second relatively short wavelength range in the visible region from the auto fluorescence. A divider carries out a division between the auto fluorescence components respectively extracted by the first and second fluorescence detector.

摘要: A log data management system is used with a database processing system. The log data management system has a plurality of database update units coupled to a database through a common bus. Each of the database update units updates a resource of the database and records log data as an update record. The database update unit writes log data of the resource of the database in a local memory in order of update time of the resource. After the resource has been updated, the database update unit transfers the log data written in the local memory to the common memory. At this time, since the database update unit does not free the resource until the log data is non-volatilized in the common memory, log data are successively stored in the common memory in order of the update time of the resource. When a failure takes place in a resource of the database, log data stored in the common memory are referred to and thereby the resource is quickly closed and recovered.

摘要: A reducer containing a ferric chelate compound of an amino compound and further containing an reduction accelerator and/or a complex-forming agent and a dye. ##STR1## wherein A.sub.41, A.sub.42 and A.sub.43 each individually represents a carboxyl group, a phosphono group, a sulfo group or a hydroxyl group; L.sub.41 and L.sub.42 each individually represents a divalent coupling group containing an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, a heterocyclic group or combinations thereof; R.sub.41 represents a substituent; and a represents 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. The reducer is superior in the rate of reduction, reducibility and reduction working properties and so stable that no precipitate will separate out with time. Also disclosed is a silver image reducing method wherein a silver image formed by exposing and developing a silver halide photosensitive material is reduced in the presence of the above-described reducer. The reducer and the reducing method are suitable for application to high-contrast photosensitive materials.
