摘要: A plasma processing apparatus for performing plasma process on a semiconductor or the like draws an electron beam from an electron source plasma and, after acceleration, introduces the electron beam into a reaction chamber where a requisite gas is supplied for performing plasma process on the semiconductor wafer. At least one pair of magnets are provided in the chamber with an electron beam path created therebetween. The electron beam is formed into a sheet-like configuration through a magnetic field created by the at least one pair of magnets. The at least one pair of magnets are positioned in an opposed relation to allow the semiconductor wafer to be subjected at a uniform rate to plasma process.

摘要: The inner surface of an outer cylinder is made an outer cylinder raceway having a simple circular sectional configuration having a radius of curvature. On the outer circumference of an inner cylinder, a plurality of grooves having the radius of curvatures dimensioned equally to the aforesaid radius of curvature are arranged extendedly at the same pitch. The outer circumference of barrel shaped rollers inserted between the grooves and the inner surface of the outer cylinder is dimensioned equally to the aforesaid radius of curvature. The barrel shaped rollers and the inner and outer raceways constitute linear contacts, thus enhancing the ability of the load resistance to make it possible to prevent the peeling off, cracking, and other damages from taking place by the heavy load to be applied.

摘要: A method of measuring physical strength of a subject and an apparatus therefor in which the maximum oxygen uptake based on 75% of the estimated maximum heart rate as a reference is estimated to thereby evaluate physical strength based on the oxygen uptake during exercise. The oxygen uptake is used as an index for evaluating physical strength, and 2@75% HRmax, which is oxygen uptake measured at 75% of estimated maximum heart rate, is used as a reference so that comparison can be made safely with a measured value even for middle and high ages. The apparatus is provided with a load device which can give a ramp load to a subject (e.g. 15 W/min to male and 10 W/min to female), a pulse rate detecting device which can measure pulse rate successively in the duration in which the load is given to the subject, and a device for averaging the measured pulse rate and the value of the given load over small time periods, subjecting the value of the pulse rate relative to the value of the load to straight line regression, and calculating the slope A and offset B of the resulting straight line.

摘要: A voltage comparator for use in a subranging A/D converter includes a coarse preceding comparison circuit 30, a fine preceding comparison circuit 31, and an amplification circuit 32 having an automatic zero compensation function. The coarse preceding comparison circuit 30 compares an analog input voltage Vin and a coarse reference voltage Vai. The fine preceding comparison circuit 31 compares the analog input voltage Vin and a fine reference voltage Vbi. The coarse and fine preceding comparison circuits 30, 31 sequentially outputs comparison results to the amplification circuits 32 so that the comparison results do not overlap each other. The amplification circuits 32 resets offset voltages before amplifying the comparison results applied. The number of elements necessary for a subranging A/D converter can be reduced, and a voltage comparator operating at a high speed and highly accurately can be provided.

摘要: An apparatus for measuring physical strength by dynamically measuring the instantaneous power of a nonrepetitive muscular force as, for example, the force exerted by a leg extension, on the basis of a power theory and, consequently, the instantaneous power generated by a dynamic, nonrepetitive multi-articular movement such as a vertical jump. The power produced by a leg extension is calculated from the maximum speed V.sub.max of the foot plate and its output time T.sub.max. An apparatus for such measurement includes a base frame; a guide section that extends in the same direction as the base frame; a foot section that slides along the guide section so that its sliding angle is variable; a measuring unit that measures sliding conditions of the foot section; a display unit that displays, visually or aurally, various data on the leg extension of the subject; and a processor means for calculating the power generated by the leg extending force.
