    摘要: An ink jet printing device supplies first and second signals to cause a pressure generating chamber to jet out ink droplets. A third signal is applied to the pressure generating chamber to effectively attenuate the kinetic energy of the meniscus and to hold the meniscus at a position suitable for jetting out the next ink droplet to provide a stable print output. Also, an ink-jet recording apparatus is provided with a control means for controlling the timing of the start of the second signal and the timing of the start of the third signal according to the environmental temperature. In the ink-jet recording apparatus, the discharge speed of ink drops is made constant by regulating the start time of the second signal so as to make constant the drawing position of a meniscus when the ink drops are discharged. Further, the pressure generating chamber is expanded again by applying the third signal at the time the vibration of the meniscus generated by the discharge of the ink drops is moved closest to the pressure generating chamber, so that the kinetic energy of the meniscus moving to the nozzle can effectively be attenuated.

    摘要: An ink-jet recording head which is operative to efficiently remove air bubbles from the pressure generating chambers and efficiently supply ink to the pressure generating chambers. First pressure generating chambers and second pressure generating chambers which communicate with a reservoir through first ink supply ports and second ink supply ports, and communicate with each other through ink supplying passages, are formed on both sides of a passage forming substrate. The first ink supply ports are formed on one side of the passage forming substrate that contains a discharge orifice, and the second ink supply ports are formed on the other side of the passage forming substrate that faces an elastic plate. A flow resistance of each of the second ink supply ports is larger than that of each of the first ink supply ports, whereby ink also flows into the second pressure generating chambers located closer to a nozzle plate through the ink supplying passages. With such a structure, air bubbles remaining in the first pressure generating chambers, which are formed on the surface of the ink passage forming substrate that faces a piezoelectric transducing element, easily move to the second pressure generating chambers located closer to the discharge orifice which serves as an ink discharging port, and can readily be discharged out of the recording head at the time of maintenance.

    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus and method having an ink jet head. The ink jet head includes a housing made of a material having a high coefficient of thermal conductivity, including at least one heat source, and arranged so as to confront a recording medium; an ink holding member arranged inside the housing, the ink holding member transmitting heat generated by the heat source to melt a solid-phase ink put into the housing for holding the molten ink by capillary action; a nozzle formed member being part of the ink holding member and having at least one nozzle orifice arranged so as to confront the recording medium; and a pressure generating member arranged within the ink holding member for generating a pressure which causes ink near the nozzle orifice to jet in the form of ink drops. The ink jet recording method is achieved by the apparatus thus constructed.

    摘要: A feedback control is effected during warming-up operation so as to adjust an actual air-fuel ratio to a target value. A sensing element is used to probe exhaust gases to detect an air-fuel ratio of a fuel-rich mixture that is required for warming up the engine. The amount of fuel injection is corrected so that the actual air-fuel ratio is adjusted to a target value displaced to the rich side from the stoichiometric ratio.
