摘要： A multispectral image processing device of the present invention comprising: a base image conversion unit 6, which expands an input multiband image of a subject based on a base vector to convert it into a base image; a base vector calculation unit 2, which calculates the base vector; and an output unit 7, which outputs a multispectral image based on the base image converted in the base image conversion unit 6 is characterized in that the base vector calculation unit 2 calculates a base vector for 3 primary colors obtained by the product of a predetermined rendering illumination spectrum and a color matching function, and an orthogonal base vector, which is orthogonal to the base vector for 3 primary colors and based on statistical information on the spectral reflectance of the subject as the base vectors. Thereby, a multispectral image is converted into image data highly compatible with an existing 3-band system.

摘要： A multi-spectral camera is provided which includes an image pickup optical system which forms an image of a subject. A wavelength selecting device receives light beams from the image pickup optical system and outputs a light beam having a selected wavelength. A wavelength switching device selectively switches the selected wavelength of the wavelength selecting device. An image pickup element receives the light beam output from the wavelength selecting device and outputs image data. A spectroscope receives the light beams from the image pickup optical system and outputs spectral data. And a subject characteristic calculating unit calculates a spectral data characteristic of the subject from the spectral data output from the spectroscope.

摘要： The image processing system is applied to dentistry, for example, and performs photography of the teeth of a patient while causing a plurality of illumination light LEDs of different wavelengths to emit light by means of a photography device when producing a crown repair or denture of the patient, whereby image data are acquired. The image data are transmitted to a dental filing system constituting a processing device where color reproduction data are determined through computation. In addition, color reproduction data are transmitted to the dental technician's office via a public switched network. Therefore, a repair material compound ratio calculation database is searched and the compound data for a material that matches the hue of the patient's teeth are found, whereby a crown repair or denture or the like that very closely matches the color of the patient's teeth is produced.

The processing apparatus (2) includes a calculating device (21) which captures the 6-primary-color subject spectroscopic images photographed by the photographing apparatus (1) to create a display signal for color reproduction at the high fidelity level, and a display (22) which displays the display signal created by the calculating device (21).
