Abstract:
There is provided an organic electronic device including a light-transmitting substrate, an enhancement film in direct contact with the substrate, an anode, a photoactive layer, and a cathode. The anode can be either a single layer or a multilayer. The single layer anode includes an alloy of a first metal having an electrical conductivity greater than 105 Scm−1 and a real refractive index less than 2.1 in the range of 380 to 780 nm. The multilayer electrode includes: (a) layer M1 having a first thickness and including the first metal; and (b) layer M2 having a second thickness and including a second metal, an alloy of the second metal, or a mixed metal oxide, where the second metal has an electrical conductivity less than 105 Scm−1. In the multilayer electrode, layer M1 is in physical contact with layer M2, and the first thickness is greater than the second thickness.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus well suited for efficiently communicating small amounts of information relatively frequently in a wireless communications system are described. An uplink timing frequency structure for an access point includes a set of dedicated uplink communications resources, e.g., expression advertisement interval air link resources. Different ones of the set of dedicated uplink communications resources correspond to different individual wireless communications devices currently registered with the access point. In the downlink timing frequency structure for the access point there are dedicated downlink broadcast communications resources, e.g., expression broadcast interval air link resources and neighbor expression broadcast interval air link resources. Information received on dedicated uplink air link resources is echoed back or selectively echoed back on the dedicated downlink air link resources. Wireless communications devices monitor downlink dedicated air link resources to recover expression information being communicated by other wireless communications devices in its local vicinity.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a series of thiazoline and oxazoline derivatives, compositions thereof, and methods of treating conditions and disorders using such compounds.
Abstract:
The invention relates to adjusting at least one of installed building service sensors (10) of a building service system. A sensor coverage area of at least one sensor (10) is adjusted based on information on a position of the installed sensor (10) relative to at least one other sensor (10). For example, to determine the position of the sensor (10) relative to said at least one other sensor (10), each sensor (10) establishes a wireless communication between said sensor (10) and at least one other sensor (10) via a wireless communication means (34) of the sensor (10). For example, information on the positions of the installed sensors (10) is used to assign to each sensor (10) at least one of installed building service supply devices (12) of the system.
Abstract:
Paging congestion control in a wireless communications system is described. Various described methods and apparatus are well suited for use in a peer to peer wireless communications system, e.g., an ad hoc peer to peer wireless network in which decisions are made in a decentralized manner. Wireless terminals, e.g., mobile nodes, monitor other paging activities going on and make back-off, e.g., yielding, decisions with regard to paging based on the results of the monitoring. During a first time interval paging indicator signals are transmitted on paging indicator resources by devices intending to transmit paging signals. During a second time interval paging signals are transmitted on paging signaling resources. Monitored and processed detected paging indicator signals are used by a wireless terminal in deciding whether or not to transmit a paging indicator signal and/or a paging signal.
Abstract:
An LED driving circuit includes a first and a second LED modules, a first and a second switching converters, an extreme voltage detecting and selecting circuit, a current balance circuit and a controller. The first switching converter transforms electric power of an input power supply into a first output voltage for lighting the first LED module. The second switching converter transforms electric power of the input power supply into a second output voltage for lighting the second LED module. The current balance circuit balances the currents flowing through the first and the second LED modules. The extreme voltage detecting and selecting circuit detects the first and the second LED modules and selects to output one of detecting results. The controller controls the transforming of the first switching converter and the second switching converter to light the first and the second LED modules in response to the outputted detecting result.
Abstract:
Novel compounds of structure Formula (I) or an enantiomer, a diastereomer, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein Z, R1, R2, R21, T1, T2, T3 and T4 are defined herein, are provided which are GPR119 G protein-coupled receptor modulators. GPR119 G protein-coupled receptor modulators are useful in treating, preventing, or slowing the progression of diseases requiring GPR119 G protein-coupled receptor modulator therapy. Thus, the disclosure also concerns compositions comprising these novel compounds and methods of treating diseases or conditions related to the activity of the GPR119 G protein-coupled receptor by using any of these novel compounds or a composition comprising any of such novel compounds.
Abstract:
A method, a computer program product, and an apparatus are provided. In one configuration, the apparatus transmits a first broadcast signal including information indicating an intention to use a unicast resource for a broadcast. In addition, the apparatus transmits a second broadcast signal in the unicast resource. In another configuration, the apparatus, which is a first wireless device, receives a first broadcast signal from a second wireless device including information indicating an intention to use a unicast resource for a broadcast. In addition, the apparatus receives a first scheduling signal from the second wireless device in a scheduling resource. The first scheduling signal is for indicating a second intention to use the unicast resource for transmitting a second broadcast signal. Furthermore, the apparatus refrains from transmitting a second scheduling signal in the scheduling resource in response to the first scheduling signal.
