摘要： A toilet article comprises a sheet-like material (1), a pressure sensitive adhesive layer (2) formed on the sheet-like material (1) and hydrogel formable polymer layer (3) formed on the surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer (2).The sheet-like material (1) may be a film obtained from flexible synthetic resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, polyamide, polyurethane, polyvinyl alcohol, rayon, polyvinyl chloride, a sheet of an unwoven fabric or a woven fabric, or a porous film.The pressure sensitive adhesive layer (2) is sticky and may be an acrylic resin adhesive, a polyester resin adhesive, a rubber adhesive or an elastomeric adhesive.The hydrogel formable polymer is a substance which forms gel when water is applied to it and has a water retention characteristic of between ten times and one hundred times.Typically, usable hydrogel substances are crosslinked substances of alkali metal salt of carboxymethylcellulose, alkali metal salt of polyacrylic acid, crosslinked substance of polyalkylene oxide, cellulose, carboxylic alkali metal salt formed from acrylonitrile graft polymer, starch-acrylonitrile substance, any of which has a good water absorbent and water retention.The hydrogel formable polymer layer may have cosmetics in a water free condition contained therein or coated on the surface thereof.

摘要： The present invention relates to a re-sealable dispenser-container and a process for producing the container. The dispenser-container comprises a main container body made of impervious material with at least one opening, a flap having a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface and fixed to the main body at one end thereof to cover the opening, and a non-adhesive member adhered to the adhesive surface and which member is used for closing the opening in order to prevent the adhesive surface from directly contacting the contents. The process comprises punching a perforated line in a sheet used for the main body, disposing a flap on the sheet so as to cover the perforated line, fixing one end of the flap to the sheet, and sealing the sheet longitudinally and transversely.

摘要： The pH of a chemical copper plating solution is exactly measured for a prolonged time by utilizing a copper oxide prepared by etching metallic copper in an 0.1-1 N inorganic acid then oxidizing the etched metallic copper in an aqueous 0.1-1 N alkali metal hydroxide solution as a main electrode for pH measurement or reducing agent concentration measurement in terms of pH.A combination of the pH measurement with well known procedures for measuring concentrations of cupric ions and a complexing agent exactly measures the pH and the concentrations of a reducing agent, cupric ions and a complexing agent for a continuation of longer time than the conventional procedures.

摘要： For recording and reproducing analog audio signals by a pulse-code modulation scheme so as to permit effective compensation for dropout errors, an incoming audio signal is sampled, and the analog samples are converted into a sequence of coded pulse groups or words. These words are grouped into successive notional blocks, and the odd and the even words, for example, of each block are divided into sub-blocks, as by sequentially writing the words of each block in successive storage locations in a memory and by retrieving the odd, and then the even, words from the memory. The sub-blocks of the successive word blocks are recorded in different regions on a recording medium such as magnetic tape. After being reconverted into an electrical signal from the recording medium, the words of the sub-blocks of each block are rearranged into the original order, as by use of a second memory, prior to the reconstruction of the analog audio signal.

摘要： A power transmission device for a power-operated lawn mower of a type, in which a driving pulley and a driven pulley are respectively fitted fixedly and rotatably on a power output shaft of a prime mover such as an internal combustion engine, an electric motor, and so forth, another driven pulley is rotatably fitted on a separate shaft disposed in parallel with the output shaft, a cutting blade is fastened to the first-mentioned driven pulley rotatably fitted on the output shaft as an integral part thereof, a first drive belt is loosely extended between the driving pulley and the second-mentioned driven pulley, a second drive belt is tightly extended between the first and second-mentioned driven pulleys, a tension pulley is further provided on a swingable supporting arm to impart tension to the loosely extended belt when the cutting blade is to be rotated for lawn mowing, and a brake applying implement is provided on one part of the swingable supporting arm to apply frictional braking force to the second-mentioned driven pulley when the cutting blade is to be stopped. The tension-imparting and brake-applying operations to the loosely extended drive belt and the second driven pulley, respectively, are effected by an operator through gripping and releasing of a control lever provided at a position of a handle connected to the swingable supporting arm by a cord or wire.
