Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical element array that enables lens mounting at low cost and high precision, a display device enabling stereoscopic display using the optical element array, and a method of manufacturing the display device. A lens sheet of the present invention is configured by a plurality of unit lenses and a non-periodic flat part, the non-periodic flat part functioning as a lens reference mark for positioning. A display device is configured using the lens sheet such that the non-periodic flat part of the lens sheet overlaps a positioning mark of a display panel. Since the non-periodic flat part serving as the lens reference mark is arranged on the positioning mark, observation shift of the positioning mark due to lens effect in time of alignment does not occur, and high precision alignment is realized.

Disclosed is a substrate cleaning apparatus including a brush cleaning unit which cleans a substrate by making a roll brush in contact with a surface of the substrate, and a transporting unit which conveys the substrate. The roll brush includes a bristle. At least one of a diameter of the roll brush, stiffness of the bristle, and density of the bristle becomes larger from an end potion of the roll brush to a central portion thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a liquid crystal display device capable of realizing a wide view angle. A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal film in which the liquid crystal molecules having positive dielectric anisotropy are diagonal oriented or hybrid oriented and a uniaxial film are arranged between the liquid crystal layer and at least one polarization plate, the orientation direction of the liquid crystal layer and the liquid crystal film are substantially the same, and the tilt direction of the liquid crystal molecules on the liquid crystal layer side of the liquid crystal film and the tilt direction of the liquid crystal molecules on the liquid crystal film side of the liquid crystal layer are substantially the same.
Abstract:
A semi-transmissive type liquid-crystal display device suppresses the reduction and corrosion of the transmission or common electrode due to the cell corrosion reaction with a simple method. In each pixel region, the reflection electrode is formed over the glass plate, where the interlayer insulating film and the barrier metal film intervene between them. The reflection electrode is electrically connected to the transmission electrode by way of the barrier metal film. The transmission electrode and the corresponding scanning line thereto are apart from each other at a distance of 2 μm (preferably, 3 μm) or greater. A developer solution penetrating through the crack formed in the barrier metal film does not reach the transmission electrode (or common electrode), preventing the reduction and corrosion of the transmission or common electrode.
Abstract:
A power supply circuit is provided which is capable of preventing a drop in an output voltage of the power supply circuit used as a DC/DC converter made up of single and conductive type (n-type or p-type) MOS transistors and of improving efficiency. Since a control voltage having an amplitude [2×VDD] is applied from a level shift circuit to a charge-pump circuit, even when potentials at nodes becomes a level [2×VDD], pMOS transistors are kept in an OFF state, thereby preventing leakage of currents from pMOS transistors. This avoids a drop in an DC output voltage. As inputs to the level shift circuits, potentials at nodes of the charge-pump circuit are used and, therefore, even if potentials at nodes of the level shift circuits are high, pMOS transistors are kept in an OFF state.
Abstract:
A holding apparatus for a substrate cassette include a support base for holding the cassette with substrates. A tilting device is fixed to the support base for allowing the support base to rotate about a horizontal axis from a horizontal position, wherein top surfaces of the substrates are arranged upwardly, to an over vertical position, wherein the top surfaces of the substrates are arranged downwardly, by rotating the support base over 90 degrees. A storage method for a substrate cassette includes steps of storing a substrate in the cassette for substrates almost horizontally, fixing a cassette on a support base, and rotating the support base around a rotary shaft so that the substrate may rotate to the angle beyond 90 degrees.
Abstract:
A pressing protrusion is provided to a light source. An area of a reflector in the proximity of a color-mixing light guide plate is pressed by the pressing protrusion so as to cause the reflector to securely touch the color-mixing light guide plate. Moreover, the reflector is provided with guides at both ends thereof. Furthermore, the chassis is provided with a reflector support which touches the guide of the reflector on the liquid crystal display panel side. The reflector support of the chassis receives the guides of the reflector to enable the reflector to slide in substantially parallel to the liquid crystal display panel.
Abstract:

Disclosed is a photoresist film which is formed in a manner of covering at least a source electrode, a source line, a pixel electrode, a drain electrode, a drain line, a semiconductor film and a protective film, and further covering a gate insulting film in their vicinities. Moreover, wet and dry etchings are sequentially performed by using the photoresist film as a mask. Due to this etching, a residual pattern existing on the gate insulating film is etched.
