摘要: An induction heating coil and a self-excited inverter are connected to a ripple voltage source. The self-excited inverter comprises a transistor as a switching element and the transistor is rendered conductive responsive to a drive voltage applied for each cycle of the ripple voltage source, whereby the self-excited inverter is started at each cycle of the ripple voltage source. The self-excited inverter stops the oscillation when the voltage of the ripple voltage source becomes lower than a predetermined value. During the non-oscillation period of the intermittent oscillation, the oscillation output of the self-excited inverter is detected. If and when the oscillation output is detected at that time, the oscillation of the inverter is stopped. Furthermore, the pulses of the attenuating oscillation of the self-excited inverter during the oscillation rest period are counted. If and when the count value of the counter is smaller than a predetermined value, the oscillation of the self-excited inverter is started, whereas if and when the count value of the counter exceeds the predetermined value, the oscillation stop state is continued.

摘要: An FM signal is applied to an input of a differential amplifier including a pair of transistors having symmetrical characteristics. A 180.degree. phase shifting circuit is connected between two inputs of the differential amplifier. Accordingly, the inputs of the pair of transistors of the differential amplifier receive the FM signal, as converted into an AM signal. The respective base-emitter rectifying junctions of the pair of transistors each rectify the AM signals, as received. The emitter electrodes of the pair of transistors are commonly connected through a predetermined resistor, with the common connection point being connected to the ground through a capacitor. Accordingly, a smoothing circuit is implemented by the emitter resistor and the capacitor. A load resistor is connected to the collector electrode of one of the pair of transistors, so that a detected output is withdrawn therefrom.

摘要: A noise removing apparatus is interposed between an FM detecting circuit and a stereo demodulating circuit. The noise removing apparatus is responsive to a pulsive noise included in the output from the detecting circuit to enable a first gate to interrupt transmission of the output. Although the stereo pilot signal is disturbed during the interruption period, the disturbed stereo pilot signal is canceled by a pseudo-stereo pilot signal (a signal similar to the pilot signal) separately generated, whereby the disturbed stereo pilot signal is prevented from being applied to the stereo demodulating circuit.

摘要: A contact sensor capable of inputting a character by tracing a character with user's finger is arranged in a region of a ten-key unit of a mobile telephone. When registering a password to release a key lock, a user traces a shape of a line, a character, a number, or other symbol on the contact sensor with his/her finger so that the shape is inputted and stored in a memory, thereby completing registration of a password. When releasing the key lock, the user traces the registered shape on the contact sensor with his/her finger so that the key lock is released. The input is easy. Even if the password input operation is observed by a third person, the password will not be easily known to the third person.

摘要: A display device includes a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a matrix. A scan signal is made to flow into a gate signal line and a data signal is made to flow into a source signal line so that the data signal is applied to a source electrode and the scan signal is supplied to a gate electrode of a control TFT arranged at a portion where the both signal lines intersect when viewed from above. Thus, when the control TFT is turned ON, a drive TFT having a gate electrode connected to the drain electrode is turned ON, so that current is supplied from a power supply line via the source electrode and the drain electrode of the drive TFT to an organic EL element and the organic EL element emits light. A holding capacity is present between the control TFT and the drive TFT. Even when the scan signal becomes LOW level and the control TFT turns OFF, the gate potential of the drive TFT is held for a predetermined period of time by the holding capacity and the organic EL element continues to emit light.
