摘要： A device for packaging and dispensing a liquid or semi-liquid substance (P) in which a substance (P) in a receptacle (1), which is closed in a sealed manner firstly at a top by a cap (2) and secondly at a bottom by an internally movable punt (5), is compressed. The device includes an elastically deformable membrane (4) received in the top of the receptacle (1). The membrane (4) is formed by a substantially frustoconical axial valve (40) having a top portion provided with a central ejection orifice (41), a middle portion running into a channel section ring (42) and a bottom portion provided with a stretchable thin skirt (43) connected to a flange (44). The skirt (43) extends upwards along an internal wall of the receptacle (1). The flange (44) fixes the membrane (4) to the receptacle (1). A nozzle-forming tube (3) passes axially through the cap (2) of the receptacle (1). The tube (3) has a top end (31) projecting outside the receptacle (1) and an internal bottom end. The bottom end is provided with an element for bearing against the membrane (4) and a closure element (33) for closing the ejection orifice (41).

摘要： An atomizing inhaler (2) includes a body (4) having a hollow interior (10) with an elastomeric barrier (22) at the tip (6) of the body. The elastomeric barrier has a slit (104) formed through the barrier. A pressurized liquid inhalant is atomized as it is forced out through the slit into the ambient environment in mist or smaller sized drops. The body includes a spring-biased piston (40) which moves within a cylinder (32). The cylinder and piston together define a variable volume container (33). The volume of the variable volume container varies according to the position of the piston within the cylinder. The liquid in the variable volume container is pressurized by the piston and flows through the slit in the barrier. The invention is broadly directed to an atomizer which uses an elastomeric barrier having a slit formed therein so that applying pressurized liquid to one side of the barrier causes the pressurized liquid to atomize as passes through the slit to mist or smaller sized drops.

摘要： A dispenser for the metered discharge of liquids and in particular pasty masses, having a delivery pump actuatable by finger pressure. The pump has a vacuum-type action and a restoring spring and pressure and suction valves. The container to which the pump is to be attached preferably is a container having resilient walls. The pump has a discharge bore with a closure element, to open and close the discharge bore. The pump has a pump chamber that is open and closed at its top end by a pressure valve. The pressure valve is connected to a plunger. A suction valve is axially spaced from the pressure valve and the suction valve is positioned to open and close the bottom end of the pump chamber. Contact zones are provided between the suction valve and the pressure valve. The plunger is displaceable in the delivery direction, and a restoring spring is located outside of the pump chamber. The restoring spring is clamped between a shoulder surrounding the pump chamber and a plunger flange. A sliding guidance is connected with a metering head. The guidance has a circumferential edge that acts as a stop and there is a closure element movable in the discharge bore by a lever key connected thereto.

摘要： A dentifrice dispensing toothbrush is described which utilizes a compressible elastic button to pump a controlled quantity of dentifrice material from a replaceable cartridge to the brush head. The toothbrush locks itself to prevent further pumping of dentifrice material when its replaceable cartridge is nearly empty. The self locking mechanism eliminates the formation of voids in the dentifrice material and consequent pump failure when the spent cartridge is replaced. In one embodiment, a cover is provided which protects the brush head, bristles, pumping mechanism and other parts of the toothbrush. The cover also seals the conduit which supplies dentifrice material to the brush head to prevent it from becoming clogged with dried dentifrice material during periods of non use and to prevent accidental compression of the button. The compressible elastic button is part of a pump assembly which also includes a pump chamber, a partition which divides the pump chamber into an intake compartment and a discharge compartment, a one way check valve for an opening in the base of the pump chamber to control the flow of dentifrice material from the cartridge to the pump chamber and an opening in the partition between the intake and discharge compartments. A plug is attached to the top of a follower disc which is positioned in the cartridge. When the cartridge is nearly depleted, the plug locks the toothbrush by blocking the dispensing movement of the dentifrice material.

摘要： A dispensing pump construction to be used with small handheld containers for cosmetic and like products. In conjunction with the usual cylinder and piston, the latter having a hollow, actuatable rod or plunger through which the liquid product is pumped, there is provided a unique assemblage of depress button and foldable discharge nozzle carried thereby. For the raised plunger position, a space exists between the top button surface and a cap which surrounds the plunger rod and which is used to secure the cylinder to the conventional screw cap for the container mouth. The discharge nozzle is foldable from a horizontal, discharge position downward to a vertical, storage position wherein it occupies said space and also simultaneously prevents inadvertent actuation of the plunger rod and piston. When thus vertically folded in the storage position it occupies very little space, whereby there is had a compact assemblage. Also, the tip of the nozzle is sealed off, so as to prevent loss of viscous liquids from the nozzle bore after the pump has been put into use, by the act of folding downward the discharge nozzle.
