Abstract:
A device for dispensing a heated liquid, such as a hot melt adhesive, includes a vertically oriented mounting plate; a melter subassembly including an adhesive manifold, a heater, and a pump adapted to dispense the heated liquid; a control subassembly adapted to control one or more components of the melter subassembly; and a subassembly cover coupled to the mounting plate for movement between an open condition and a closed condition. The subassembly cover thermally insulates the melter assembly from the control assembly when in the closed condition.
Abstract:
A glue applying system and a glue applying method are disclosed. The glue applying system comprises a spray gun for spreading protective glue; a glue supplying tank for supplying the protective glue to the spray gun; a glue storing tank for furnishing the glue supplying tank with the protective glue; and a check valve connecting to the glue supplying tank and the glue storing tank, for controlling the protective glue in the glue storing tank to flow into the glue supplying tank unidirectionally. In the glue applying system and the glue applying method, coating the protective glue and supplying the protective glue to the glue supplying tank and the glue storing tank can be proceed at the same time. The glue applying system does not have to stop the coating operation while furnishing with the protective glue.
Abstract:
A metering system for a coating installation for coating components such as vehicle body parts contains an applicator which applies the coating material supplied to it with a volumetric flow metered on-demand, a regulated first metering device which adjusts the pressure or the volumetric flow of the coating material to be applied by the applicator based on setpoints which are specified by automated installation controls, a transducer to generate a reading which matches the pressure or the volumetric flow of the coating material flowing to the applicator and a control device for regulating the metering device as a function of the specified setpoints and of the reading from the transducer. A second metering device is connected at the outlet of the regulated first metering device for the coating material flowing to the applicator which controls the pressure or volumetric flow of the said applied coating material for precision metering of the coating material applied as a function of the specified setpoints.
Abstract:
A viscous material application apparatus includes a main body having a pressurized chamber which connects through to a discharge port and stores a viscous material, a viscous material supply device for transferring the viscous material to the pressurized chamber, and a discharge pressure regulating device for regulating the discharge pressure of the viscous material when the viscous material inside the pressurized chamber is pressurized and discharged by increasing or decreasing the capacity of the pressurized chamber, the discharge pressure regulating device being provided either inside the pressurized chamber or facing the pressurized chamber.
Abstract:
The intermittent coating apparatus which includes a nozzle 1 which applies a paint 6 to a base material, a feeding side two-way valve 10 which repeats feeding of the paint 6 to the nozzle 1 and stop of the feeding, a return side two-way valve which 11 repeats discharge of the paint 6 to a return side and stop of the discharge, a paint flow path 12, means to feed the paint 6 into the flow path 12, and paint returning means 5 which repeats suction and return of the paint 6 out of and into the nozzle 1, and is characterized in that switching of the feeding side two-way valve 10 is carried out earlier than that of the return side two-way valve 11 within a range not shorter than 5 msec and not longer than 100 msec at least at a coating start time.
Abstract:
A fluid application device stores seam paste in a reservoir tank 18 and feeds the seam paste to a pressure tank 20 through a feed pump 22. Inside of the pressure tank 20 is maintained under a given air pressure by a pneumatic unit 26, and the seam paste is supplied from the pressure tank 20 to an application nozzle 16 through a supply pipe 24. A level sensor 28 detects fluid level of stored seam paste in the pressure tank 20, and a detection signal is input to a controller 30. The controller 30 controls operation of the feed pump 22 based on the detection signal that is transmitted from the level sensor 28 and also controls a supply amount of the seam paste to the pressure tank 20 to maintain the fluid level in the pressure tank 20 at a fixed level.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a providing device capable of using a solution within a tank effectively than ever as preventing an air bubble from mixing in the solution to be provided to an applying device. In providing devices and for leading a coloring sensitive matter from any one of a plurality of pressure tanks to an applying device via a predetermined flow path, middle tanks are provided every for each of pressure tanks on the way of a flow path connecting each of the plurality of pressure tanks and the applying device. A sensor detects whether an amount of a solution stored in respective middle tanks is not less than a predetermined lower limit value or not. Then, a signal in response to its result of the detection is outputted to a system controlling device. On the basis of this output signal, it is discriminated whether the amount of the solution in the middle tank is not less than the lower limit value or not. Then, if it is detected that the amount of the solution in the middle tank is less than the lower limit value, the predetermined processing in association with the switching of the pressure tank is carried out.
