    摘要: A film according to the present invention optimizes the productive process of slabs made of marble agglomerates because this film solves one of the main problems that arise in this kind of production, namely, the removal of the protective material such as paper, rubber etc. from the slab when the baking phase is concluded and before the beginning of the subsequent phases in which the slab is finished off. Basically, the detachable film in question is made of polypropylene (both copolymers and homopolymers) in its several forms such as cast, extruded, coextruded, mono-biorientated forms or further forms, or other similar material derived from polypropylene. Unlike polyester, polypropylene accomplishes its antiadhesive function very well on the marble agglomerate and therefore, polypropylene is used in the production of marble agglomerate.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method of making a die set for the manufacture of specially shaped ceramic tile, and the tiles formed thereby. A main component of the die set is a lower punch made of rigid material, on whose upper surface a profile is cut which is suitably shaped to form the front face of the ceramic tile, including the contoured side. The punch has a complete, continuous coating of synthetic resin or rubber bonded to it, with the punch's upper surface defining the form of the front face of the ceramic tile. The coating is continuous and covers the lateral portion of the profile that forms the shaped side, and continues on the upper most part with a horizontal edge which is turned externally with respect to the profile, upon the upper lateral surface of the body of the punch; furthermore a rigid body is fixed above the upper lateral surface, which acts to clamps the horizontal extension of the coating against the lateral surface.

    摘要: A machine for pressing earth into blocks has a rectangular breech and a press foot vertically reciprocally drivable in the breech. A bucking block is horizontally reciprocally drivable into and out of registration with an open upper end of the breech. Portions of the upper surface of the bucking block are tapered upwardly from front to rear and a horizontal bucking bar extends across the breech and bears downwardly against the tapered upper portions of the bucking block when the bucking block is in registration with the breech. The bucking bar can be supported at selectively variable levels above the breech and assures a firm positioning of the block against the force of the earth being compacted by the press foot. A rod extending vertically from and movable with the press foot cooperates with a sight line device fixed to the machine to facilitate visual determination of the elevation of the press foot within the breech. This facilitates resetting the lowermost level of the press foot so that blocks of constant depth and density can be made regardless of the composition of the earth used. A neoprene pad on the press foot minimizes adhesion between the press foot and the earth pressed thereby, thus reducing the possibility of crumbling or disintegration of the block as the block is slid off the press foot.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for injection molding of ceramic suspensions is disclosed wherein an elastomeric bladder is disposed within a mold cavity of a mold. The elastomeric bladder, in a relaxed state, can be tubular or can be formed by bonding together sheets of material. A ceramic suspension is injected into the elastomeric bladder, whereby the elastomeric bladder is distended. Distention of the elastomeric bladder applies a significant force to the ceramic suspension for preventing jetting and formation of knit lines within the ceramic suspension. The ceramic suspension distends the elastomeric bladder until the mold cavity is filled. The ceramic suspension is then exposed to conditions sufficient to cause the injected ceramic suspension to form a molded ceramic greenware composite. The molded ceramic greenware composite can then be removed from the mold for drying and for debindering and densification to form a finished ceramic part.

    摘要: Segments of tire tread are utilized as patterning elements to produce elastomeric form liners useful for creating designs on poured concrete structures. The segments of tire tread are arranged in the interior of an open-faced mold box, and liquified elastomeric material is poured into the mold box and allowed to solidify. An elastomeric form is then separated from the mold box. This form may be used itself as a form liner, but is preferably used as a mold to produce further generations of forms and form liners. The form liners are used to line the interior of a concrete form, and the tread patterns are thereby imparted to the surface of the resulting concrete structure.

    摘要: Concrete elements, such as blocks or bricks, are molded or cast by forming in a primary mold cavity a secondary mold made of a portion of a thermoplastic film which has been contacted with a flat heater surface to assure a uniformly heated film portion which is then sucked into the primary mold cavity without wrinkles and filled with concrete mix. The secondary mold with the concrete mix in it is withdrawn, for example, sucked out of the primary mold cavity well before any effective hardening of the concrete mix, so that curing and hardening takes place in the secondary mold outside the primary mold cavity. This early withdrawing is important because it avoids expansion of the curing mix in the primary mold, whereby removal from the primary mold is facilitated. Additionally, the early removal with the aid of the secondary mold assures a more efficient use of the primary molds which are used again while the hardening is still going on in the secondary mold. The apparatus for performing the method includes a turntable and stepwise drive means for sequentially stepping the turntable carrying a plurality of primary molds into cooperation with several work stations which are so controlled that the early withdrawal of the filled secondary mold from the primary mold cavity is assured.

    摘要: A method of compression molding powders of metals, ceramics and the like. A thin rubber bag is adhered to the inside of a cavity formed within a permeable mold support so as to define a mold therein and the bag is packed with a raw material powder. The powder in the bag is evacuated to a degree of vacuum to compactly compress it and the rubber bag is sealed. In this condition, the compressed powder is removed from the support and compression molded to a higher degree of denseness by the CIP process. The inflation adhesion of the rubber bag to the inside of the support cavity is effected by reducing the pressure outside the permeable support.
