Abstract: When a desired call has been registered with the up button or down button of a remote controller, an acceptance signal is delivered from an elevator control device, to turn `on` the up button or down button of the hall button device. At the same time, a response signal corresponding to the acceptance signal is sent from the transmitter of the hall button device to the remote controller, and it is received by the receiver of the remote controller so as to turn `on` the response lamp in correspondence with the call registration. Owing to such an arrangement, the ascent or descent call registration of an elevator can be reliably acknowledged on the remote controller side.

Abstract: An elevator trip based on destinations and activity parameters of a user is planned by a system having an elevator controller of an elevator installation, a storage device storing building plan data and a route planning computer. The user's trip inquiry, including a desired destination and a desired activity parameter, is received by the planning computer. Building plan data is read from the storage device by the planning computer. The current location of the user is determined by the planning computer, which calculates at least one route proposal based on the user's location, the destination and the activity parameter. The route proposal is communicated to the user. Upon receipt of a confirmation that the user selected the route proposal, a control signal identifying a boarding floor and a destination floor is transmitted by the planning computer to the elevator controller. The elevator installation is controlled according to the control signal.

Abstract: Provided are a wireless signal apparatus and an elevator service request system and method, which belong to the field of intelligent elevator control technologies. In the elevator service request system of the present invention, a corresponding wireless signal is broadcast by a wireless signal apparatus of an elevator system and the wireless signal is received by a personal mobile terminal. The personal mobile terminal is provided with an elevator service request application component running at an application layer of an operating system thereof. The wireless signal apparatus includes a location notification unit used for broadcasting corresponding location marker data. The elevator service request system includes a wake-up module running at a system layer of the operating system of the personal mobile terminal. The wake-up module is used for waking up the elevator service request application component in response to reception of the location marker data.

Abstract: A method of providing a mobile car operating panel system includes establishing communication between a mobile device and a mobile wireless access point associated with a car operating panel within an elevator car. A user interface provided on the mobile device is operable to command the car operating panel through the mobile wireless access point. A proximity between the mobile device and the car operating panel is determined. A car call is registered to command a stop landing of the elevator car based on verifying the proximity of the mobile device to the car operating panel within a threshold distance and an input through the user interface on the mobile device indicating the stop landing.

Abstract: A method for operating an elevator installation includes receiving a destination call of a passenger at a control unit and selecting an elevator car from a set of available elevator cars for transporting the passenger. The elevator car is selected such that elevator car spacing rules are observed. The method further includes determining an arrival time of the selected elevator car at the boarding floor, and determining a first arrival time of the passenger at an elevator landing corresponding to the selected elevator car on the boarding floor. The method includes directing, under the proviso that the first arrival time of the passenger at the elevator landing precedes the arrival time of the selected elevator car by a defined margin, the passenger to a waiting zone of a set of available waiting zones. The waiting zone is selected such that waiting zone spacing rules are observed.
