    摘要: A system and method for providing enhanced weight alert notification during automated patient management is presented. A plurality of weight measurements in an automated patient environment from a weight monitoring device for a patient during an observation period is remotely obtained. A raw baseline weight for the patient is determined based on a function of the weight measurements. Irregularities in the weight measurements are identified. The raw baseline weight is processed into a baseline weight by application of a correction coefficient to the irregularities. Weight remotely measured in the automated patient environment for the patient on a substantially regular basis is obtained. Changes in the weight are identified by periodic comparison to the baseline weight. An alert notification is generated in response to the change in weight.

    摘要: A mobile portable system for a user to weigh an item on a mobile device, the mobile device having a computer processor and a display screen, and a weighing platform integral to the mobile device. The weighing platform may be integral to the display screen or may be a separate piece of hardware. A selector module is provided for allowing the user of the mobile device to choose the type of the item to be weighed. A weighing module is also provided for determining the weight of the item placed by the user on the weighing platform. A visual module in communication with the weighing module is provided to display the weight of the item to the user. The selector module, the weighing module, and the display module are executed by the computer processor of the mobile device. In another embodiment, the invention includes a communications manager to send the weight and the type of the item to a marketplace over a network, the marketplace being adapted to send the real-time price back to the mobile device for further display to the user.

    摘要: The monitoring device incorporates a memory device that is programmed with a set of question hierearchies. Each question hierarchy corresponds to a symptom and is composed of a set of questions. The question hierarchies may contain a logical structure so that certain questions will not be asked, depending upon a patient's answer to a preceeding question. A question hiearchy is invoked by a symptom identifier transmitted to the monitoring device by a remote computer. The remote computer may transmit a plurality of symptom identifiers to the monitoring device to cause the monitoring device to ask questions related to a plurality of symptoms. The set of symptoms inquired about may vary based upon the chronic disease afflicting the patient.

A center plate load cell is attached to the bottom of the railcar body and supports the first end of the railcar body on a truck assembly via the center bowl of the truck assembly. A pair of side bearing load cells are mounted to the bottom of the railcar body so as to flank the center plate load cell. A pair of side bearings are positioned on the top surface of the truck assembly bolster in alignment with the pair of side bearing load cells. Circuitry sums signals from the center plate load cell and the pair of side bearing load cells to provide a summed output corresponding to a weight of the railcar load. The summed output is conditioned and transmitted via a satellite and/or cable system to a remote receiving station.
