Abstract: A control apparatus controls consumer equipment provided in a power consumer facility. The control apparatus comprises a controller configured to transmit, information indicating an operatable function capable of being operated by an operation apparatus operating the consumer equipment among a plurality of functions of the consumer equipment, to the operation apparatus, when the control apparatus is connected to the operation apparatus via a first network provided in the consumer facility. The controller is further configured to transmit a request message for requesting execution of a function designated from the operatable function to the consumer facility, when the control apparatus receives an operation instruction of the designated function of the operatable function from the operation apparatus. The controller is further configured to select the operatable function among the plurality of functions according to whether the operation apparatus is located outside the consumer facility.

Abstract: The various embodiments include methods and systems for facilitating the configuration of smart objects within a wireless communication system by leveraging the microphonic effect to enable a user to identify each smart object to a control device. By configuring the control device to monitor wireless signals from a plurality of smart objects for small modulations due to the microphonic effect from a user tap on a particular smart object, the control device may recognize a particular smart device to be configured. By coordinating the monitoring for small modulations in received signals with a user interface for registering smart objects, various embodiments provide a simple mechanism by which users can correlate smart objects to corresponding icons or object names in a control interface. The various embodiments enable a user to complete the onboarding a smart objects with a control device without requiring the need to enter information into a user interface.

Abstract: An information transmission system includes a mobile device, a signal transmission line and an internet device with networking capabilities. The mobile device includes a user interface, an encoder, a modulator and an audio connector. The user interface receives network setting information, and the encoder is coupled to the user interface to encodes the network setting information into information codes. The modulator is coupled to the encoder to modulate the information codes to form an audio signal embedded with the information codes. The audio connector is coupled to the modulator, and the signal transmission line is connected to the audio connector of the mobile device to transmit the audio signal embedded with the information codes. The internet device is connected to the signal transmission line, receives the audio signal with the embedded information codes, and decodes the information codes into the network setting information.

Abstract: A targeted discovery between a first device and a second device in a network, in particular, a WHDI network, provides discovery for an identified device or a group of identified devices. The targeted discovery determines an identifier for a second device or a group of devices that the second device belongs to, and sends a device discovery message to the second device using the identifier for the second device when the second device is configured to respond to the device discovery message if the device discovery message includes the identifier for the second device. The first device receives a response to the device discovery message from the second device and can start further communication with the second device.
