Abstract:
A content information manager communicates content information to a digital image capture device. One embodiment comprises a means for storing the content information in a memory, a means for communicating the content information to a digital image capture device, and a means for receiving a request such that the content information is communicated to the digital image capture device when the request is received. Another embodiment comprises a means for communicating a request signal such that the content information manager provides the content information upon receiving the request signal, a means for receiving the content information from the content information manager, and a means for displaying the content information on a display residing on the digital image capture device.
Abstract:
An appliance provides for the selection of data to be transmitted to an external device by selecting metaphoric page icons, each icon corresponding to a page of captured information. Metaphoric page icons may be selected by selecting the icons individually, by selecting a predefined group of icons, by selecting tagged icons, or by selecting all icons. A default selection includes selecting the current metaphoric page icon displayed on the display.
Abstract:
A method of operating a printing device for rendering data encoded in a raster form includes receiving by short range wireless communication an intermediate data which includes image data corresponding to at least part of the content and extracting the image data from the intermediate data. The image data is converted to data in a page description language form, and the data in the page description language is converted to the raster form rendered by a printer engine. The data in the raster form is supplied to the printer engine.
Abstract:
An information system for communication between a digital camera and bidirectional device that is located in proximity to a photographic site is disclosed. In the absence of the digital camera, the bidirectional device may provide communication with a personal digital communication device (PDCD) carried by the photographer. The digital camera may transmit preferences and camera data to the bidirectional device so that customized information, prepared by an information provider, may be automatically transmitted to the digital camera or PDCD or, via the Internet, to the photographer's e-mail address. A standardized photographic identification data packet (PIDDP) may be defined for use by the digital camera or the PDCD, for communication with the bidirectional device. The PIDDP may be transmitted by means of radio frequency, infrared, Bluetooth enabled transmission, or any other transmission method. The information system is implemented by a method for automatically recording information related to a photograph into the communication device in a digital camera or PDCD.
Abstract:
An appliance indicates that it is transferring information to an external device by displaying a send animation. The send animation simulates movement of a metamorphic icon by moving images on a background such that the metamorphic icon appears to be moving. One embodiment of the appliance includes a processor for manipulating and exhibiting the send animation on a built-in display screen. In one embodiment, the metamorphic icon resembles a paper airplane and the moving images resemble clouds so that the paper airplane appears to be flying over the clouds, thereby indicating that the appliance is sending information to an external device.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus with a hidden control panel. The image processing apparatus includes a main body, a control panel, and an internal storage slot formed in the main body. The control panel includes a keyboard for being inputted instructions for operating the image processing apparatus. The control panel may be inserted or hidden into the internal storage slot. The display panel displays the inputting instructions and the status of the image processing apparatus.
Abstract:
A digital camera that operates inside and in conjunction with a non-digital camera, enabling the user to continue to use the non-digital camera, controls and associated lens, flashes, etc. The digital camera includes an imager which senses the image to be recorded and a light detector which detects the existence of light due to the opening of the shutter aperture of the non-digital camera. The light detector controls the imager such that an image is recorded and output from the imager when the light detector detects the opening of the shutter aperture which occurs when the photographer depresses the shutter button to take a picture. Preferably the digital camera includes a memory for storage of the images recorded. These images can then be subsequently output to an external device for further processing or display.
Abstract:
A still video camera system including a still video camera and a remote controller for remotely operating the still video camera by transmitting a control signal to the still video camera. The remote controller is detachably coupled to the still video camera, and when the remote controller is coupled to the still video camera, a signal transmission device of the remote controller is utilized for transmitting the image data to an external device.
Abstract:
In order to print an image sensed by a digital camera using a printing apparatus for forming an image on a print medium, image data corresponding to the sensed image is converted into print data, and the converted data is transmitted to the printing apparatus, thereby providing an image processing system which can print an image sensed by the digital camera using the printing apparatus without the intervention of any computer, and a digital camera and printing apparatus suitable for the image processing system.
Abstract:
An image transmission system utilizing a portable device includes a light-receiving unit, a unit for generating image data on the basis of an output from the light-receiving unit, and a unit for transmitting the image data generated by the generating unit. The portable device includes a light-emitting unit, and a control unit for causing the light-emitting unit to emit light in accordance with call data and image data.
