摘要： The instant invention is a locking mechanism for transmissions having a floor mounted selector switch. The invention utilizes a base member which is attached to a support post of the transmission selector lever. The base member includes provisions for holding loose coins and miscellaneous items. When the vehicle is left unattended, the locking mechanism utilizes a spherical cap which locks to the base member. With automatic transmissions the handle is locked together so as to conceal the handle and prevent access to the actuator button. When used in combination with a manual transmission, the cap engages the base of the transmission housing to prevent depression or movement of the selector handle. In this manner, the vehicle cannot be moved as the transmission is disabled. The spherical shaped cap inhibits cutting, tensile steel bands used on matching caps prevent the mechanism from being pried apart when locked.

摘要： A steering wheel lock having a generally flat circular cover (1) which substantially totally covers the steering wheel (12) to prevent an authorised access to the wheel or turning of the wheel. The cover (1) includes a perimeter lip (2) to prevent side access to the wheel and to maintain the cover (1) overlapping about the wheel (12). One side of the open diametric face of the device includes a plate section (3), and the opposite side includes a removable diametrically reciprocable pin (7). The pin (7) is attached to a long rigid arm (4) which is lockable in a diametric position by lock (5) which is rigid with the cover (1). The bar (4) prevents substantial turning of the device by contacting surrounding vehicle structure and a spigot (13) prevents substantial turning of the wheel (12) relative to the device.

摘要： A locking device made of two interfitting parts that holds the throttle control levers of an aircraft in their closed position when the parts are interfit. A key activated locking mechanism holds the two parts together. The throttle control levers are sandwiched between an upper transverse bar and the locking mechanism that secures the two parts to one another. An inclined surface formed mid-length of the upper transverse bar is inclined at the same angle as the throttle control levers when in their throttle closed position to confine the levers to the smallest possible space. A hemispherical-in-configuration cutaway is formed in the lower transverse bar and accommodates the yoke of the aircraft and restricts its movement.

摘要： A system is disclosed for positive identification between a patient and a blood unit to be administered to the patient incorporating a combination lock which positively prevents access to the blood unit unless its code matches that of the patient. An alphabetic code is assigned to the patient and is set into the combination lock at the time the blood unit is removed from the blood bank. Setting of the code is achieved by the technician without necessity of external tools or mechanical skill. The combination lock has several alphabetic coded indicia dials which may be set at any orientation with respect to several locking rings. Once the combination is set, a manual clamping force exerted on the structure serves to lock the indicia rings to the associated locking ring to set the code.

摘要： A device for securing the tailgate of a pickup truck, so that it can not be removed by unauthorized persons. The device is made of three steel assemblies, one of which is fitted over a tailgate extension, using the extension as an anchor for holding the device in place. A second assembly, acting as a clamp, is attached to the first by a fixed bolt and a nut. The clamp, presses on the side wall of the pickup truck, pulling the tailgate to it. Attached to the nut is a tube that holds a lock plug. When a lock plug is inserted in the tube, the nut can not be rotated and loosened. The lock plug is a cylinder lock, locked by a key and protected against weather by a plastic cap. In design, the locking device is massive, weatherproofed and although open to access, is not susceptible to cutting, breaking or damage such as sustained in unauthorized removal, without causing damage to paint finish of the tailgate which is being appropriated without the owner'permission, and has no resale value in less than 100% perfect condition.

摘要： A fuel tank lock for use with a conventional filler neck of an automotive vehicle. The filler neck has a baffle plate formed with a constricted passage normally closed by a biased-shut valve carried by the baffle plate. The valve is forced open when engaged by an unleaded fuel nozzle. The upper end of the filler neck is provided with a conventional fuel tank cap. The fuel tank lock includes a body provided with a key operated lock and a shank that extends through the constricted passage. The lock operates a latch that engages the underside of the baffle plate to prevent unauthorized withdrawal of the lock from the filler neck.

One version of the device fits an Evinrude or Johnson outboard motor; another version fits a Mercury outboard motor.
