    摘要: A thermally written magnetic data storage medium retains desired domains of magnetization having field orientations representative of the data. A first magnetic layer retains one or more domains of desired magnetic field orientations. A second magnetic layer provides a biasing field for obtaining a predetermined magnetic field orientation in the first magnetic layer as a function of the temperature of the second magnetic layer. Disposed between the first and second layers is a thermal isolation layer which provides a thermal barrier for controlling the temperature of the second magnetic layer means. When the medium is heated for a short time, the fringe field from the first layer causes one direction of magnetic orientation to occur in a domain in the first layer. Upon cooling of the domain, the domain magnetization becomes stable with an orientation conforming to the orientation of the fringe field. The thermal isolation layer prevents significant heating of the second layer. Further heating of the domain to erase, heats the second layer substantially to cause it to project a field of predetermined direction opposite from the fringe field direction such that as cooling occurs, the orientation of the domain magnetization stabilizes and conforms to the projected field orientation.

    摘要: The invention relates to an x-ray image converter for use with an x-ray phosphorescent screen which includes means for scanning the screen with a radiation source, as well as detectors for converting light from the exposed phosphorescent screen into a video signal sequence and a further device for the conversion of this signal sequence thus obtained into a visible picture. For such a converter it is desirable to obtain a simple arrangement which permits an interference-free signal which requires a short processing time (less than 10 sec). The invention provides that the phosphorescent screen is subdivided into a plurality of partial areas and to each of them a detector is allocated, which is interfaced to a memory and means for analyzing the image parts and for generating a composite visible picture. An x-ray image converter according to the invention is usable in particular in medical radiodiagnostics.

    摘要: A method for printing by magnetography under atmospheric conditions of relative humidity exceeding 65 or even 75% consists in transferring to a sheet of paper a fusible magnetic ink in powdered form which is distributed on a temporary magnetizable support in accordance with the configuration to be produced, whereupon the ink is fixed by fusion on the sheet of paper. The paper has a surface resistivity of at least 10.sup.10 ohms square and a relative smoothness of at least 20 Bekk.

    摘要: In a radiation image read-out system, a stimulable phosphor sheet carrying a radiation image stored therein is two-dimensionally scanned with stimulating rays, with the main scanning being effected by use of a multifaceted mirror having a plurality of deflecting surfaces. Light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet upon exposure to the stimulating rays is detected and converted into an electric image signal. When any of the deflecting surfaces is inclined from its predetermined position, the electric image signal obtained from the scan line drawn by the inclined deflecting surface becomes incorrect. The electric image signal obtained from the scan line drawn by the inclined deflecting surface is corrected by use of a correction coefficient which is predetermined for each deflecting surface according to the amount of inclination from the predetermined position thereof.
