摘要: A compact wall-mountable load control device for controlling the power delivered to an electrical load from an AC power source includes: a controllably conductive device coupled in a series electrical connection between the AC power source and the load, the controllably conductive device including a control input; a control circuit operatively coupled to the control input of the controllably conductive device, the control circuit operable to control the conductivity of the controllably conductive device, the control circuit including a timer; a timer adjustment selector operatively coupled to the control circuit; a visual indicator operatively coupled to the control circuit; and a switch operatively connected to the control circuit to provide a user the ability to operate the control circuit using the integral switch. The control circuit includes a timed ON setting, an OFF setting, and an ON setting that bypasses the timer. The timed ON setting may be user adjustable.

摘要: A circuit arrangement for enforcing an intrinsically safe situation in a hazardous zone features a first switching device that lies in the series arm and a second switching device that lies in the shunt arm. If a fault occurs that would violate the conditions of intrinsic safety, the first switching device is initially blocked and the second switching device is switched through with a time delay such that the output terminals are mutually short-circuited. In addition, a monitoring device is provided for monitoring the load conditions at the switching device arranged in the series arm.

摘要: A “light switch” that is the most common and easiest to operate. The toggle switch, rocker switch or paddle switch, is used for turning on and off 110 volt ac lights. The switch can be preset, before installation, to a time duration keeping lights on from five minutes to eight hours. After the preset time expires the toggle flips to the “off” position. Optional connections for low voltage control wires enable the switch to also be toggled on and off by a remote or outside source.

摘要: The present invention provides a stretchable fabric that may serve as a switch device or coupling to an electronic device and a power source by merely stretching or pushing the fabric. The stretchable fabrics may be usable in a wearable garment, furniture, or other suitable locations where it can be incorporated to close a circuit. Through a releasable stretching or pushing action by the user, electrically conductive strips integrated in the fabrics come in contact to activate related ancillary equipment such as power supplies or electronic devices.

摘要: An electrical short stroke actuator, comprising an annular filed collar and a composite plunger for travelling therethrough. In its simplest form, the plunger comprises two permanent magnets with like poles facing, and which are housed within a thin walled tube, and separated by a central spacer. By judicious choice of the spacing of the magnets, and the length of the field coil, a substantially constant thrust profile is achieved over a pre-selected stroke of the field coil relative to the plunger. The thrust may be augmented by fabricating the means used for spacing the magnets wholly or in part from ferromagnetic material, and also adding collars, similarly fabricated, onto the outside face of each of the permanent magnets.

摘要: A control apparatus for protected switching of a load encompasses at least two switch units in series with a load, to permit delivery of energy to a load when each switch unit is switched on and to block it when at least one of the switch units is shut off; an electronic control system for triggering each switch unit via a first switching path and second switching paths, and for monitoring its state; a delay element on the first switching path, such that each switch unit can be shut off both by way of a shutoff signal conveyed via the first switching path and by way of a shutoff signal conveyed via the second switching path; and in a state in which one of the switch units is shut off and the other is switched on, the electronic control system ascertains a malfunction of the first switching path if, after output of a shutoff signal on the first switching path, the other switch unit does not shut off within a predefined time window.

摘要: A magnet pole piece assembly has first and second pole pieces and at least one support member. The pole pieces have longitudinally aligned and facing surface recesses. The support member has a central segment and first and second end segments abuttingly and metallurgically attached to the central segment. The first and second end segments are positioned within a corresponding surface recess of the first and second pole piece and are abuttingly and metallurgically attached to the corresponding pole piece. An open magnet adds main coils to the magnet pole piece assembly.
