    摘要: An electric power source assembly supplies the focusing electrodes of a color cathode ray tube. Such a color cathode ray tube normally includes three electron guns arranged in a line transverse to their beam path. The focusing voltages supplied the focusing electrodes associated with the three guns are independently adjusted to compensate for beam distortion caused by positional differences in gun location. The D.C. and A.C. voltage to the static and or dynamic electrodes is independently controlled to improve beam focus of each individual gun.

Thus, the CRT can provide satisfactory spot shapes over the entire surface of a screen thereof and hence achieve high resolution.

    摘要: An electron gun for a color cathode ray tube includes a cathode, control and screen electrodes forming a triode, 1st to 3rd focus electrodes forming a first unipotential prefocus lens, 4th and 5th focus electrodes forming a second unipotential prefocus lens with the 3rd focus electrode, a 6th focus electrode forming a bipotential prefocus lens with the 5th electrode adjacent thereto, and an accelerating electrode for forming a bipotential main focus lens with the 6th focus electrode. Vertically-elongated electron beam passing holes are respectively formed in the outgoing planes of the 1st, 3rd and 5th electrodes and horizontally-elongated electron beam passing holes are respectively formed in the incoming planes of the 3rd, 5th and 6th focus electrodes. The 2nd and 4th focus electrodes are supplied with a predetermined first static focus voltage, the 3rd and 5th focus electrodes are supplied with a second static focus voltage higher than the first static focus voltage, and the 1st and 6th focus electrodes are supplied with a dynamic focus voltage which is synchronized with a deflection signal and whose negative peak equals the second static focus voltage. The astigmatism of an electron beam spot on the periphery of the screen is improved using a dynamic quadrupole lens, thereby forming an almost circular beam spot with a small halo. Also, the focusing distance is adjusted by the dynamic variation of the intensity of a main lens, so that the spot size formed on the periphery approaches that on the center of the screen.

    摘要: A cathode ray tube includes a plurality of electrode layers which are separately formed in the advancing direction of electron beam, and form a plurality of electrostatic lenses along with corresponding electrodes of an electron gun upon applying voltages of differing potentials. The cathode ray tube has an accelerating electrode layer as an accelerating electrode which forms a main lens with a focusing electrode of the electron gun, and an electrode layer as a prefocusing electrode which forms a prefocusing lens with the focusing electrode and other electrodes, so that the electron beam is accelerated and focused by the electrode layer formed on the inner surface of a neck. The image quality realized on the screen can be improved, while reducing the length of the neck.

    摘要: An electron gun for color cathode ray tube is disclosed which includes: a triode section for forming the thermionic electrons from the cathode into electron beams; a multistep focusing type electrostatic lens means for focusing the electron beams from the triode section. The characteristic feature of the present invention is that: an electrostatic lens is formed through the combination of a UPF type electrostatic lens and a BPF type electrostatic lens; and another UPF type electrostatic lens is formed between the electrodes disposed closely to the triode section among the UPF type or BPF type electrostatic lens forming electrodes, so as for a multiplex multistep focusing type electrostatic lens to be formed. According to the present invention, the spherical aberration acting on the electron beams at the main electrostatic focusing lens can be largely eliminated, and therefore, a high quality picture can be obtained.
