    摘要: In an in-line beam type CRT, at least one pair of quadrupole electromagnets and at least one pair of quadrupole electromagnets rotated by 45.degree. about a beam axis are provided around a neck portion of a deflection yoke. Further, electric field lenses for respectively applying quadrupole electric fields to beams are mounted to an electron gun. Thus, the CRT can provide satisfactory spot shapes over the entire surface of a screen thereof and hence achieve high resolution.

    摘要: A magnetic focusing system has a pair of disc-shaped pole pieces between which several permanent rod magnets are mounted, their north poles in contact with one pole piece and their south poles in contact with the other pole piece. The permanent rod magnets are equally spaced around the outer perimeters of the pole pieces, and are separated from one another so that they do not create a ring. The pole pieces have central holes, between the rims of which a symmetric magnetic lens is formed for focusing an electron beam.

    摘要: The present invention provides a focussing solenoid for focussing an electron beam in a picture taking tube. This focussing solenoid comprises a sleeve which has a helical etching in which are housed the turns of a first layer of wire. For all the other layers of wire wound in a helix about the sleeve, the slope of the turns of the helix with respect to the sleeve is substantially the same and the turns of one layer are guided by the turns of the preceding layer. Connections connect the layers together so that all the layers have the same winding direction about said sleeve.
