Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer storage media, for adaptively routing web traffic. A system can receive from a user computing device accessing a web resource, a content request, including data characterizing user interaction by the user computing device with the web resource before or after receiving the first content request. The system can identify a policy from a plurality of policies to execute in accordance with one or more objectives, wherein the plurality of policies are generated using data from a plurality of content requests and data characterizing user interaction with the web resource after serving a respective response to each of the plurality of content requests. The system can perform, in response to the content request, one or more actions of the ranked list of actions of the identified policy.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided. A method includes managing, by a software defined network (SDN) controller, OpenFlow rules stored on an OpenFlow network device having a ternary content addressable memory (TCAM). The OpenFlow rules include unreachable OpenFlow rules and reachable OpenFlow rules. The managing step includes querying at least one OpenFlow rule from among the unreachable OpenFlow rules and the reachable OpenFlow rules on the at least one OpenFlow network device. The managing step further includes determining whether any of the OpenFlow rules are reachable or unreachable from indicia used to mark the OpenFlow rules as reachable or unreachable. The managing step also includes causing a removal of the unreachable OpenFlow rules from the OpenFlow network device.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a node comprises one or more processors operable to execute instructions to cause the node to perform operations that comprise receiving a packet from a first node associated with an SD-WAN domain. The packet comprises a header indicating a TLOC associated with a second node to send the packet, the second node associated with an SR domain. The operations comprise determining that the TLOC corresponds to a virtual TLOC used in the SD-WAN domain to identify the second node that is in the SR domain and, in response, determining a second node identifier used in the SR domain to identify the second node. The operations further comprise preparing the packet to be communicated via the SR domain. Preparing the packet comprises including the second node identifier in the packet. The operations further comprise sending the packet comprising the second node identifier to the second node.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method of facilitating routing through a software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) defined for an entity. A first edge forwarding node located at a first multi-machine site of the entity, the first multi-machine site at a first physical location and including a first set of machines, serves as an edge forwarding node for the first set of machines by forwarding packets between the first set of machines and other machines associated with the entity via other forwarding nodes in the SD-WAN. The first edge forwarding node receives configuration data specifying for the first edge forwarding node to serve as a hub forwarding node for forwarding a set of packets from a second set of machines associated with the entity and operating at a second multi-machine site at a second physical location to a third set of machines associated with the entity and operating at a third multi-machine site at a third physical location. The first edge forwarding node serves as a hub forwarding node to forward the set of packets from the second set of machines to the third set of machines.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method that receives (i) definition of a group of virtual datacenters and (ii) addition of at least two virtual datacenters to the group. Each virtual datacenter is defined in a public cloud and includes a set of network management components and a set of network endpoints connected by a logical network that is managed by the network management components of the virtual datacenter. Based on the definition of the group, the method configures a gateway router to which each of the virtual datacenters of the group connect. The gateway router is for routing traffic between the virtual datacenters of the group. The method also configures, at each respective virtual datacenter, a respective router to route data traffic between the respective virtual datacenter and the other virtual datacenters to route traffic for the other virtual datacenters to the gateway router.

Abstract: A network node device and method of determining a communication route to one or more other network nodes through a network. The method includes sending current routing information to a network management server (NMS), and receiving new or supplemental routing information from the NMS, this supplemental routing information determined by the NMS based on the current routing information of the network node and the other network node(s). The supplemental routing information may include lateral route information identifying designated routing nodes that form lateral band(s) of nodes that span the network. Each lateral band may include gate node(s) as entrances/exits to the lateral band. The method further includes determining, based on the supplemental routing information, a route to one or more of the other network nodes, which may include an optimal path and/or alternate path(s) from the network node to one or more of the other network nodes.

Abstract: A method performed by a network controller for a mobile transport network. The method includes: obtaining traffic information for a plurality of demands for connectivity from client nodes through the mobile transport network, the traffic information for each demand identifying a client node for the demand, an egress node for the demand and an amount of traffic for the demand; calculating, for each demand, one or more paths from the client node, via an ingress node, to the egress node through the mobile transport network; mapping each path for a demand to a source port in the ingress node for the demand; providing the mapping to the ingress nodes to enable routing of traffic pertaining to the demands via the paths, based on the source port; and providing the source ports to the client nodes for inclusion in traffic pertaining to the demands.
