摘要： An acoustical barrier wall system for use as an external wall acoustical attenuator for sound sources, is disclosed. The wall system comprises a plurality of acoustical barrier panels adapted for vertically stacked co-operating engagement. There are first and second attachment members each having a first end anchored within the main body portion of the acoustical barrier panels and an opposite threaded second end extending outwardly beyond the main body portion. There are first and second upright bracing members, each having a corresponding plurality of attachment member receiving means spaced therealong, the attachment member receiving means being adapted to receive the respective first and second attachment members therein. Connecting means in the form of co-operating nuts adapted to connect the attachment members and the attachment member receiving means in secured relation to one another. The plurality of vertically stacked acoustical barrier panels are secured together by the attachment members, the first and second upright bracing members, and the connecting means to thereby form a wall section for unitary placement between a pair of spaced upright frame members adapted to supportingly receive the plurality of acoustical barrier panels in vertically stacked cooperative engagement therebetween. The first and second upright bracing members are adapted for secure fastening to the respective one of the pair of spaced upright frame members following the unitary placement of the wall section.

摘要： An architectural panel system for assembling geodesic-like structures in which three or more corrugated panels of relatively thin material are joined along their sides to form a polyhedral angle. The corrugations may be formed in the panel surface or along side flanges provided for attaching adjoining panels together, or both. Corrugations in the side flanges serve to interlock adjoining panels together directly or through use of interlocking channel members. Surface corrugations in triangular and pentagonal panels for spherical domes are formed perpendicular to the edges of the panels and converge along load distribution grooves formed in the panel surfaces from the corners of the panels to their centers. Corrugations in the panel surface and along the side flanges are intercorrugated relative to one another for more strength and stiffness. The panels are preferably formed using polycarbonate plastic material.

摘要： A modular prefabricated panel enclosure system comprising a plurality of spaced apart posts, each post including a lower support bracket and an upper support bracket. Prefabricated wall panels are located between each set of spaced apart posts such that the lower corners of the panels are supported by the lower brackets and such that the upper corners of the panels are retained by the upper brackets. The lower support brackets support the deadload weight of the wall panels while the upper and lower brackets laterally support the wall panels. Pilaster panels are attached to the upper and lower brackets on each side of the wall panels to provide continuity between the adjacent wall panels. The panel system may be erected by hand without the use of lifting devices and may be disassembled and reassembled into various different configurations as desired.

The core member and outer members are preferably formed by pultrusion and extrusion, respectively. Adjacently disposed devices are connected together to form a fence-like barrier through which few or no sound waves are allowed to pass. This system is advantageously used to prevent sound waves emanating from a large transportation structure such as a highway, railroad track, or airport.

摘要： A resilient panel having anisotropic flexing characteristics in which thermal compression bonding techniques have been to laminate a plurality of sheets of thermoplastic polyurethane material together with bonds that are in strip form, spaced at regular intervals, and staggered between alternate sheets of material. The laminated stack was then cut into slices of appropriate thickness, and the slices were expanded to form a honeycombed core which, while held in spread apart disposition, was thermally pre-formed and made ready to receive facing materials. The facing materials were then thermal compression bonded to each side of the honeycombed core, and the panels were trimmed to assume their final dimensions.
