Abstract:
A method for releasing resources allocated by persistent scheduling is described. A base station (BS) inserts a persistent allocation release indication message into a control channel, wherein the persistent allocation release indication message includes at least one resource index indicating persistent allocation resources to a mobile station (MS), broadcasts the control channel, and releases the persistent allocation resources corresponding to the resource index. Since a release message for persistent allocation, a channel quality indicator channel, feedback polling allocation, etc. is inserted for transmission into a control channel which can be received by all MSs, overhead which occurs during resource release can be minimized irrespective of transmission rates varying with MSs.

Various methods for efficiently transmitting data and various methods for allocating an ACK channel in a wireless access system are disclosed. In addition, various frame structures and MAC header structures for use in allocating an ACK channel are disclosed. A method for allocating an ACK channel includes receiving first data including ACK channel position information, transmitting an ACK signal on an ACK channel indicated by the ACK channel position information, and starting an ACK channel timer.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting feedback information is disclosed. More specifically, a mobile station (MS) receives a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) which includes a Medium Access Channel (MAC) header from a base station (BS). Thereafter, the MS determines from the received MAC header whether an extended subheader group appears after the MAC header, and also identifies a feedback request extended subheader from the extended subheader group. Lastly, the MS transmits the feedback information according to the feedback request extended subheader.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a midamble for channel estimation of multiple antennas performed by a base station in a system having segregated uplink and downlink frequency bands is provided. The method includes transmitting midamble information indicating presence of the midamble within a downlink frame to a user equipment (UE), and transmitting the midamble on a single downlink subframe among at least one downlink subframe included in the downlink frame or on a common zone to the UE by using the multiple antennas. A scheduling overhead of a base station and other overheads can be reduced by decreasing the number of transmissions of a midamble on one downlink frame, and thus limited radio resources can be effectively used.
Abstract:

The method includes: generating the uplink control information repeatedly as many as uplink data transmission layers; modulating the uplink control information to generate a plurality of repeated modulation symbol; applying a precoding matrix to the plurality of repeated modulation symbols to generate a plurality of first precoded symbol; and transmitting the plurality of first precoded symbols respectively through a plurality of antennas in an uplink subframe comprising a plurality of single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a time domain and a plurality of subcarriers in a frequency domain.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting feedback information in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method comprises a mobile station (MS) which determines whether to transmit feedback information to a base station (BS) without solicitation from the BS. After determining to do so, the MS transmits a request message to request the BS to allocate an uplink resource for transmitting at least one unsolicited header and thereafter receives the uplink resource allocation from the BS. Lastly, the MS transmits the at least one unsolicited header via the allocated uplink resource.
