    Abstract: In some examples, a method is described. The method may include obtaining an electrical signal as an input signal. The method may also include generating a reference signal based on the input signal. Moreover, the method may include generating a device-under-test signal based on the input signal and based on a device-under-test capacitance between a first contact point and a second contact point. The first contact point may be electrically coupled to a first contact mechanism configured to contact a first contact area of the device-under-test. The second contact point may be configured to be electrically coupled to a second contact mechanism configured to contact a second contact area of the device-under-test. The method may also include generating a comparison signal based on a comparison between the reference signal and the device-under-test signal. Additionally, the method may include emitting an output signal that is based on the comparison signal.

    Abstract: A meat tenderizing device is provided for meat tenderizing. The device can include a substrate having at least one structural reinforcing member. The substrate may be elastomeric, and may have a body of a material that is non-conductive. The structural reinforcing member can be longitudinally aligned to inhibit longitudinal shortening or longitudinal contraction of the device. The device can provide radial or lateral compression to maintain a longitudinal length or longitudinal stretching of meat contained therein. The substrate can include a conductive material distributed therein that is thermally or electrically conductive. The structural reinforcing member can be positioned so as to control stretching of the substrate. The device can also include a phase change member on a surface of at least a portion of the substrate. The phase change member can include a phase change hydrogel that is liquid at lower temperatures and a gel at higher temperatures.

    Abstract: Technologies are provided for an opto-mechanical device for enabling surgeons to rapidly simulate proposed intestinal/colorectal anastomosis cut lines and assess their impact upon tissue perfusion prior to their implementation. The pre-selection process enables a surgeon to decide upon the locations of the anastomotic cut lines that are most likely to reduce ischemia, while preserving most of the intestinal tissue length. The opto-mechanical device may simulate a cut line by applying pressure to intestinal tissue and detecting a light pattern transmitted through the intestinal tissue before and after the applied pressure. A perfusion map may be generated to estimate perfusion quality around the circumference of the intestinal tissue at the site of a simulated cut line, and the perfusion map may be displayed as a two-dimensional graphic image of the proposed anastomosis site. Once the site of the best cut line is selected, the surgeon may activate a cutting blade to implement the cut.

The first and the second core may be configured in communication with a first cache. The first core may generate a request for a first data block from the first cache. The first core may coordinate with a second cache to store the first data block in the second cache. The thread may be migrated from the second core to a third core.     Abstract: Technologies are described for display of a merged image on a display. A processor may receive first data that relates to a first image of a real object and second data that relates to a second image of a virtual object. The second image, if displayed, may overlap, in an overlap region, at least part of the first image if the first image were displayed. The processor may identify an overlap part in the first data that corresponds to the overlap region, clip the overlap part from the first data to produce clipped data, and blur the clipped data to produce blurred data. The processor may subtract the clipped data from the blurred data to produce an additive blur component, add the additive blur component to the second data to produce merged data, and generate the merged image to be displayed on the display based on the merged data.
