Abstract:
A method for metering a reducing agent from a metering device to an exhaust gas treatment device includes initially determining at least one operating parameter of the metering device. An injector pressure at an injector for feeding the reducing agent into the exhaust gas treatment device is then calculated from the at least one operating parameter. Then, an opening time for the injector is calculated, in which at least the injector pressure determined in step b) is used. The injector is then opened for the opening time calculated in step c). A method for setting up or configuring a control unit for a metering device and a motor vehicle having a metering device are also provided.

A method for regulating an ionization device in an exhaust gas after-treatment device of an internal combustion engine, includes placing at least one cathode at a distance from an anode in the exhaust gas after-treatment device, applying a high voltage between the at least one cathode and the anode, predefining a first value for the high voltage, detecting a current generated by the high voltage between the at least one cathode and the anode and predefining a second value for the high voltage if the detected current exceeds a predefinable first current intensity for a predefinable number of times. A motor vehicle in which the method is carried out is also provided.
Abstract:
A process for producing a structure in a smooth sheet-metal strip includes multiple process steps. In a first step, a first section of a smooth sheet-metal strip is fed to a first tool and a second section of the sheet-metal strip is fed to a second tool in a direction of advance. Then the sheet-metal strip is stopped. A sheet-metal machining of the first section of the sheet-metal strip is carried out using the first tool. A sheet-metal machining of the second section of the sheet-metal strip is carried out using the second tool, with the first feeding step being carried out simultaneously. An apparatus is provided for producing a sheet-metal strip of such a complex structure, which produces the structure with a very high degree of accuracy even when the materials properties differ.
Abstract:
A configuration for purifying or cleaning an exhaust-gas flow of an internal combustion engine includes at least an ionization device, an agglomeration device, and a (catalytically active) radial honeycomb body around a duct. The exhaust-gas is diverted from the duct into the radial honeycomb body, while the agglomerated particles are caught in a particle separator of the duct. A method for purifying or cleaning an exhaust-gas flow of an internal combustion engine and a motor vehicle including an exhaust system having the configuration, are also provided.

A delivery device for delivering a reducing agent from a reducing agent tank to an exhaust gas treatment device of an internal combustion engine, includes a partially rigid reducing agent line and a delivery pump disposed in the reducing agent line and having a delivery direction from the reducing agent tank to the exhaust gas treatment device. The delivery device has at least one vibration compensating device selected from the following group: an inflow compensating device upstream of the delivery pump in the delivery direction, an outflow compensating device downstream of the delivery pump in the delivery direction, a pump-internal compensating device within the delivery pump, and a structure borne noise compensating device on a fixing of the delivery pump. A motor vehicle having the delivery device is also provided.

A method for generating openings in a metal foil includes at least the following steps: a) providing a planar metal foil, b) generating bends defining extrema in the metal foil, and c) generating at least one opening in the vicinity of the bends through the use of a cutting production process forming chips including simultaneously cutting a plurality of adjacent extrema of the metal foil by using grinding tools.
Abstract:
A device for exhaust-gas treatment includes at least one housing with an inner surface and at least one sensor foil disposed in the housing. The sensor foil is formed at least with a sensor element and a conductor element. The sensor foil is also provided with an edge up to which the conductor element extends and which bears against the inner surface of the housing. The housing also has an opening for contacting of the conductor element. The opening is surrounded on the inner surface by an electrical insulating layer.
Abstract:
An injector mount for completely accommodating at least one injector includes a housing having at least one injector chamber. The at least one injector chamber has a first opening and a second opening. The first opening of the injector chamber can be connected to a region of an exhaust line that conducts exhaust gas, and the second opening of the injector chamber can be closed repeatedly by a closure. An exhaust line having an injector mount is also provided.
Abstract:
A method for heating a delivery device for a reducing agent includes providing the delivery device with a return valve which is in an open position when an opening current is supplied to the return valve and which is in a closed position and operates as a heater when a heating current that is smaller than the opening current is supplied to the return valve. The return valve is preferably in heat-conducting contact with a metallic base plate of the delivery device.
Abstract:
A device for evaporating a urea-water solution includes a delivery duct for the urea-water solution. The delivery duct extends through at least a first zone and a second zone for the introduction of heat energy. The zones can be heated separately from one another and, in the second zone, the delivery duct initially has a meandering course in a second inlet region, and thereafter has a rectilinear course. A method for evaporating a urea-water solution includes pre-heating the urea-water solution in the first zone to a temperature in a range from 100° C. to 150° C. and evaporating the urea-water solution in the second zone at a temperature in a range from 420° C. to 490° C. In particular, this significantly reduces the tendency for such an exhaust-gas-external evaporator for a urea-water solution to become blocked. A motor vehicle is also provided.
