    摘要: A speech recognition apparatus and method for use in a car navigation system performs speech processing for recognizing speech or spoken words referring to a specified region. An input audio signal or vocalized speech undergoes speech processing to determine and recognize the region specified in the speech. Data corresponding to the specified region is converted to coordinate position data for the region, and a map of the vicinity of the converted coordinate position data is displayed. When a new audio signal is input during speech recognition processing of a previously-input audio signal, the processing of the previously-input audio signal is interrupted and the new audio signal undergoes speech recognition processing. Accordingly, a high-efficiency operation of the car navigation system may be performed without interfering with the driving of the car. The speech recognition and apparatus also determines whether an input audio signal has been re-input within a predetermined amount of time from when the audio signal was previously input.

    摘要: An air conditioning system mountable in the rear of a vehicle having a vent mode and a foot mode is disclosed. The air conditioning system comprises a casing, an evaporator mounted at an upper front portion within the casing, a heater core mounted below the evaporator such that the evaporator and the heater core are not superposed when seen in a vehicle front-to-rear direction. A temperature controlling damper is provided for controlling rate of air which is directed toward the heater core so as to attain a selected final temperature of the air which is discharged into a passenger compartment of the vehicle. Vent and foot outlets are also provided.

    摘要: An exhaust pipe assembly of two-passage and double-pipe construction has an inner pipe; a partition plate meeting the inner pipe at both diametrical meeting ends thereof so as to be elongated in a longitudinal direction of the inner pipe. Two passages divided across a diameter of said inner pipe are thus formed. The assembly also has an outer pipe which covers the inner pipe with a thermally insulating space around a periphery of the inner pipe. The outer pipe has on one longitudinal end thereof a connecting portion for connection with a mating member. One end of the inner pipe is fixedly connected to the outer pipe with a clearance between the periphery of the inner pipe near each of the meeting ends and an inner circumference of the outer pipe.
