    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a mobility management method, user equipment, and a base station. The mobility management method may include: receiving, by the user equipment (UE) in a connected state, a source identifier of the UE from a first base station, where the source identifier is used to uniquely identify the UE in the first base station; entering, by the UE, a low-overhead state after satisfying a low-overhead activation condition; storing, by the UE in the low-overhead state, a connection context of the UE in the connected state, and camping on a cell according to a cell reselection criterion in a moving process; and reporting, by the UE when satisfying a first preset condition, the source identifier to a second base station to which a second cell belongs, where the second cell is a serving cell on which the UE currently camps.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide random access user equipment, including: a receiving module, configured to receive a notification message sent by a base station, where the notification message is used to instruct the user equipment UE to execute a random access procedure; a processing module, configured to determine, according to a configuration parameter in the notification message received by the receiving module, a PRACH resource used to execute the random access procedure; and a sending module, configured to send a random access code to the base station on the PRACH resource determined by the processing module; where the receiving module is configured to receive a random access response message sent by the base station. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a random access method. The present invention has an advantage that executing the random access procedure on an unlicensed spectrum can be implemented.

    Abstract: A user equipment obtains configuration information used to detect a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value of a signal on an unlicensed frequency, samples the signal on the unlicensed frequency at a sampling interval included in the configuration information to obtain RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency sampled at sampling moments. The user equipment determines statistics on the RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency within a statistical window, obtains an RSSI value statistical result of the signal on the unlicensed frequency based on the statistics, and reports the RSSI value statistical result to a base station.

    Abstract: Provided are a system for implementing multiple Radio Access Networks (RANs) convergence and a method thereof in the present invention. The method includes: an anchor RAN establishes a connection with a User Equipment (UE); the anchor receives a RAB establishment request from a Core Network (CN); the anchor RAN selects an auxiliary RAN; the anchor RAN sends quality of service (QoS) parameters to the auxiliary RAN, so that the auxiliary RAN establishes a connection with the UE according to the QoS parameters, while the anchor RAN keep the connection with the UE.     Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a random access method and an apparatus. PRACH configuration information of a base station is acquired, and a preamble is sent from a corresponding start PRACH resource, so that access of another terminal device is not affected when the base station identifies an access request of a terminal device that requires coverage enhancement.
