Abstract: A communication method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a first command sent by a network device, wherein the first command carries a first identifier, and is used to activate a first bandwidth part (BWP) indicated by the first identifier, and the first BWP is a BWP on a first component carrier (CC); and ignoring the first command when the terminal device does not support the first BWP and a second BWP being in an active state at the same time, wherein the second BWP is a BWP in the active state on a second CC, and the second CC is different from the first CC. According to the application, the terminal device may determine, based on a capability of the terminal device, to ignore an improper command, to optimize a problem of switching an active BWP in a carrier aggregation scenario.

Abstract: This application provides a fake network device identification method and a communications apparatus. An uplink message sent by a terminal device is forwarded to a first network device via a second network device. After receiving the uplink message, the first network device generates a downlink message for the uplink message, performs security processing on the downlink message based on first time information, and/or sends the downlink message to the second network device. The second network device sends, to the terminal device, the downlink message on which the security processing is performed. The terminal device performs security verification on the received downlink message, and/or identifies whether the second network device is a fake network device. This helps improve communication security.

Abstract: A terminal device determines that local first system information is abnormal in the case of any of the following: a quantity of times of sending first signaling is greater than or equal to a first preset threshold within first preset duration; a time length in which a first service is unavailable is greater than or equal to a second preset threshold; a change trend of a tag value of a same system information block is abnormal; or a quantity of changes in a tag value of a same system information block is greater than or equal to a third preset threshold within second preset duration. The terminal device receives, from an access network device, second system information that is used to update the local first system information.
