    摘要: A liquid ejection head is operable to eject a liquid droplet toward a target position. A transporter transports a first target medium toward the target position in a first direction. A guide member has a guide face along which a tray member on which a second target medium is mounted is fed toward the target position in a second direction which is opposite to the first direction. The guide member is pivotable between a first position for closing the guide face and a second position for opening the guide face to support the tray member. A first sensor detects that the guide member is placed in either one of the first position and the second position. A controller disables the transporter from transporting the first target medium when the first sensor detects that the guide member is placed in the second position.

The control unit comprises: a speed detecting part for detecting the speed of a motor for use in a printer in a predetermined period tv; an average speed calculating part for calculating an average speed using at least the current detected speed, which is detected by the speed detecting part, and a detected speed which has been detected n (≧2), which corresponds to substantially half period of the fluctuation in speed of the motor, before the timing in detecting the current detected speed; and a speed control part for controlling the speed of the motor on the basis of a speed deviation of the average speed, which is the output of the average speed calculating part, from a target speed of the motor.
