Abstract:
A coin dispensing machine capable of selectively dispensing a coin of a predetermined denomination from among coins of various denominations stored in a plurality of coin tubes. Coins placed at the bottom of the respective coin tubes (i.e. the lowermost coins in stacks of coins in the respective coin tubes) are taken out of the coin tubes by means of a pay out slide. A single coin only among the taken out coins nominated by selective energization of two solenoids is allowed to drop below while the coins which have not been selected are returned to the coin tubes. The dropped coin is then introduced into an outlet by a wiping operation of one or two wipers.
Abstract:
A rubbing contact fluid seal member is provided on the hot side of a rotary regenerator of a gas turbine engine to prevent high temperature exhaust gases from mixing with counterflowing combustion air, maintaining rubbing contact with a radial surface of a rotatable matrix. The seal member is formed with a heat-resistant layer of silicon carbide at a part of its surface which is in direct contact with the high temperature exhaust gas.
Abstract:
A fluid seal is composed of an upper oxidized sintered metallic layer and a lower unoxidized sintered metallic layer integral with the upper layer. The upper layer is in rubbing contact with the radial surface of a rotating matrix of the regenerator portion of a gas turbine engine and the lower layer is connected through metal bellows to the housing of the matrix.
Abstract:
A ring oscillator in a receiver in a multimedia network is adjusted to compensate for factors that may decrease its accuracy over time using a link training signal from a transmitter device in the network. An incoming signal having a known frequency is received at a receiver or sink device from a transmitter, the signal may be a link training signal used for configuring a link between the two devices. In the receiver, an internally generated clock signal is created, the signal having an internal frequency. The incoming signal and the internally generated clock signal are input into a frequency detector which outputs frequency comparison-based data. The internal frequency is based on the comparison-based data such that it is adjusted to be closer to the known frequency of the incoming signal.
Abstract:
There is provided a sports ball capable of relieving the pain of the hands suffered from impact on the ball and having a soft feel and high flexibility. The sports ball comprises a spherical hollow rubber bladder (2) inflated with air injected into it, a fabric tape reinforcement layer (3) formed by winding a narrow adhesive-impregnated fabric tape (7) around a central spherical portion (6) of the rubber bladder about each of three axes of the rubber bladder with the exception of opposite spherical end portions (5) of the rubber bladder, whereby the fabric tape reinforcement layer is formed as orthogonal lap windings of the fabric tape over substantially all of the spherical surface of the rubber bladder, to provide a fabric tape wound ball core, and surface panels (4) adhered with adhesive to the fabric tape reinforcement layer on the rubber bladder, after vulcanization and forming of the fabric tape wound ball core.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for transmitting video pixel data from a transmitter component, such as a controller, to a receiver within a monitor are described. Video data is received at a transmitter at an incoming pixel rate based on a pixel clock. The data is transmitted to the receiver at a link symbol clock rate and is drained from the receiver at the pixel clock rate, which is regenerated by the receiver using the link symbol clock frequency, an M video value, and an N video value. The M video value (Mvid) is determined by the transmitter based on the incoming pixel rate and the N video value (Nvid) may be constant. An accumulator is used within the transmitter to ensure that the transmitter and receiver create a balanced system.

Abstract:
A TV conference apparatus includes a main body, a plurality of monitors, arms for connecting the monitors to the main body such that they are free to turn about a vertical axis, and a camera disposed to an upper portion of the main body to pick up an image of an entire circumference. The plurality of monitors and the camera are disposed integrally with the main body. The TV conference apparatus can switch a first state, in which the plurality of monitors are disposed forward of the main body in line with each other, with a second state, in which the plurality of monitors are disposed sideward of the main body.
Abstract:
A packet based high bandwidth copy protection method is described that includes the following operations. Forming a number of data packets at a source device, encrypting selected ones of the data packets based upon a set of encryption values, transmitting the encrypted data packets from the source device to a sink device coupled thereto, decrypting the encrypted data packets based in part upon the encryption values, and accessing the decrypted data packets by the sink device.
