    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present disclosure relates to the retransmission in wireless communication system. A method of operating a base station comprises transmitting resource configuration information related to a resource for an initial transmission and a resource for a retransmission to a terminal, receiving initially-transmitted data through a first resource, and receiving retransmitted data through a second resource, if a decoding of the initially-transmitted data fails. The second resource is determined based on the first resource and the resource configuration information.

According to the present application, resources of category-2 services can be reused for receiving category-1 service data to satisfy requirements for low delay of the category-1 services and increase the utility efficiency of resources of the category-2 services.

A method for operating a receiving device in a wireless communication system comprises determining inter-symbol interference between symbols in a received signal, determining a location of a receive detection window according to the inter-symbol interference, and demodulating the received signal based on the location of the receive detection window. A receiving device includes at least one transceiver, and at least one processor configured to determine inter-symbol interference between symbols in a received signal, determine a location of a receive detection window according to the inter-symbol interference, and demodulate the received signal based on the location of the receive detection window. A transmitting device includes at least one processor configured to estimate an equivalent channel frequency response based on characteristic information of a time-domain filter, estimate an inter-symbol interference based on the equivalent channel frequency response, and generate indication information regarding an adjustment of a location of a receive detection window.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services.According to a method for transmitting diversity, implemented at a transmitting end, space-time precoding is performed for a digital signal to obtain at least two coded signal streams, and then each coded signal stream is transmitted using a respective transmitting and receiving unit (TXRU) equipped with a multi-antenna array, in which an antenna array weight used by the respective TXRU to transmit each coded signal stream is one of two sets of antenna array weights, and at least two TXRUs use two different sets of antenna array weights. The present disclosure also discloses a corresponding transmitter. With the present disclosure, transmitting diversity may be realized in a large-scale antenna system.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting uplink demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) is provided. The method includes a user equipment (UE) determines an uplink DMRS format for demodulating a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) according to frequency-domain resources occupied by the PUSCH, in which the uplink DMRS format includes a comb occupied by a PUSCH DMRS sequence. The comb is subcarriers having specified intervals occupied by demodulation reference signals, and the specified intervals between the occupied subcarriers are same. For the DMRSs using the comb format, subcarriers with specific intervals are used for channel estimation, and values of the channel estimation are used for data demodulation. The UE transmits uplink information and the demodulation reference signals on physical resources using the uplink DMRS format. The present disclosure can improve the multiplexing ratio of uplink physical resources in a multi-UE scenario.

The method for operating a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes detecting a synchronization signal block, performing downlink synchronization process according to the detected synchronization signal block, and determining time-frequency resources of an anchor subband; acquiring random access configuration information according to the time-frequency resources of the anchor subband, performing a random access process according to the random access configuration information, and completing uplink synchronization; and acquiring control information in a control channel band, and performing data communication with a base station in the data transmission band according to the control information.
