A client implements a local model including at least: a feature extraction subnetwork to extract a feature vector from input data, a normalization layer to normalize the feature vector, and a final layer to generate a prediction output from the normalized feature vector. The local model is initialized using a set of global parameters received from a central server. The local model is updated using data sampled from a local dataset. Information about a state of the updated local model is transmitted to the central server.

The packaging device includes a plurality of atmospheric control attributes that modulates or controls the atmosphere within the packaging device as the food product(s) respire in order to promote the extended shelf-life of the food product and the maintenance of the quality and desirable marketable characteristics of the food product. The atmospheric control attributes can include perforations that may be positioned in breathable peel/reseal film portion of the package to allow the product respiration for multiple servings without substantially altering the shelf life extension properties of the packaging device.

A memory device includes a semiconductor layer with an in-plane polarization component switchable between a first direction and a second direction. A writing electrode is employed to apply a writing voltage to the semiconductor layer to change the in-plane polarization component between the first direction and the second direction. A reading electrode is employed to apply a reading voltage to the semiconductor layer to measure a tunneling current substantially perpendicular to the polarization direction of the in-plane polarization component. The directions of the reading voltage and the writing voltage are substantially perpendicular to each other. Therefore, the reading process is non-destructive. Thin films (e.g., one unit cell thick) of ferroelectric material can be used in the memory device to increase the miniaturization of the device.

The shifting register comprises: a first thin film transistor, a second thin film transistor, a third thin film transistor, a fourth thin film transistor, a capacitor and a pull-down module, and the pull-down module is connected among a clock signal port, a first node and a signal output terminal, and further is connected to a low level signal terminal, for maintaining the first node and the signal output terminal to be at low level during the non-working period of the shifting register. The apparatus for driving gate lines comprises a plurality of above shifting registers connected in serial. The present invention is applicable to driving gate lines.
